Nevsky Prospekt, St. Petersburg
(4.2/5 based on 2,800+ reviews on the web)
Saint Petersburg's main artery, Nevsky Prospekt cuts through the city's historical center and provides easy access to a string of tourist attractions, including churches, museums, shops, and restaurants. Planned by Peter the Great as the beginning of a major road to Novgorod and named after Alexander Nevsky, a 13th-century national hero credited with victories over both Swedish and German invading armies, this thoroughfare offers you a chance to discover a blend of architectural styles. Start at the Empire-style naval headquarters in the north, and proceed southeast all the way to the avenue's conclusion at the Neoclassical cathedral and cemetery containing the ornate tombs of Dostoevsky and Tchaikovsky. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Nevsky Prospekt by using our St. Petersburg vacation builder.

  • Is the main avenue of Saint Petersburg and worth walking for her. Nevsky Avenue has magnificent temples, monuments like the Cathedral of our Lady of Kazan, is very close to the Cathedral of the Savior on the spilled blood, stores, bars, restaurants, hotels, pharmacies, exhibition of works of art in the open air and public transportation, among many other things. Attached pictures.
