Museum of soviet arcade machines, St. Petersburg

(4.7/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Have some old-school fun and see what the world of arcade games looked like behind the Iron Curtain at Museum of soviet arcade machines. Here you won't find any of the well-known game titles from the West. Instead, the museum offers a rare opportunity to play a series of original products of the Soviet gaming industry on the authentic machines of the era. For an enhanced sensation of the bygone days there is also a restored Soviet soda vending machine that you can use. The admission fee for the museum includes a handful of old USSR kopeck coins on which the machines run. While some games might be difficult to understand without some knowledge of Russian, most are self-explanatory and can be fully enjoyed by everyone. • Goods with some friends at the arcade machines Museum. It was priced quite reasonably priced and there was something for every taste. Has super fun, I would recommend to anyone. You again!

  • Mixed feelings. On the one hand a real nostalgia for childhood, running from machine to machine with coins in their hands. Reasonable prices at the cafe, if you just want to drink tea or coffee, entering from the street. On the other hand cons: 1. The Museum half the machines didn't work. Agree, look at broken scrap metal is not very interesting. 2. pretty little Cafe Area, weekends not Crouch, hangers, publicly available-but also small. 3. Modern era children iPhones and tablets double bit games aren't always interesting and little chance of interest for a long time. For once, quite interesting, but more hours there doing nothing. Of the interesting things-full breakdown on the cult game Spin the little humpbacked horse, I really hung on the tour. Of the recommendations: a) for admission no fees-basically buy only 15 coins. b) who left the old coins in 15 kopecks-wear, think the organizers did not take offense, because many carry out also for memory.

  • A great place that would get acquainted with the part of USSR, remembering his youth, feel nostalgia for the long-departed. Thanks to the creators of the Museum, anyone can become for a while born in the Soviet Union, feel child 70-80s. Incredible atmosphere. I advise everyone to visit it. Sure you get a lot of positive and fun.
