  • Wandered into the Academy of Salt lane during the day in the city. And "stuck" at more than two hours. Absolutely stunning architecture and interior decoration. Frescoes, bas-reliefs, stairs, luminaries and students work. And when the Papal Gallery I raised my head and saw the ceiling, felt in the Uffizi. Of course, all a bit abandoned and requires restoration, but still very strong impression from meetings with such beauty.

  • Museum of decorative and applied art different from the rest of the exhibition centers of St. Petersburg that was created solely for the purpose of training students of the Central School of technical drawing. But over time, gaining increasing importance, became open to all comers. This institution gathered an impressive collection of works by Russian and foreign artists from all over the world and representing many areas of decorative-applied art. Inside and outside the Museum building is decorated with numerous decorations, stone staircases, mosaics, stained-glass Windows. Building project developed the St. Petersburg architect Maximilian Egorovich Mesm ...

  • Very nice Museum, but with a slightly expensive admission tickets. Still not here such as the Hermitage, that admission would be pulling for 300 roubles (for adults) and 150 (for pupils, students, pensioners), that even here does not include the cost of photography, for which you will have to pay another 200 rubles. However, one only painted ceilings, you can forgive the high cost. But amid the grandeur, eye drops and disorder of everyday life of the Museum. Decals just imprinted on pieces of paper, not Windows washed, a lot of dust, there is some filth everywhere. Exhibits score five Museum guy threesome. Total score Museum-4
