  • A place that is well worth a visit with children, particularly with Beginners learn in high school chemistry. One of the oldest museums in our country, located in a historic building, and at the same time the second largest collection of minerals in Russia. The most extensive showrooms, all clear, interesting, nicely. It is better to go with a guided tour, recorded in advance.

  • Introductory tour in a historic building from the mining University premises for the Museum. History of the Museum begins with the reign of Catherine II. In its Decree in 1773, was founded the Museum of Mining Institute. The Museum building lasted for 5 years. The Museum Exposition occupies 2 800 m/sq. The Museum consists of 3 departments: geology, mineralogy and mining machinery history. Visitors will see a variety of collections of meteorites, minerals, which belong to the 18-19 centuries. The collection also includes fine work of Faberge jewelry made of cast iron, copper and steel. The group includes 20 people. Free tours on Saturday. Highly recommend visiting this Museum, and the people who work in the area of mining or addicted to minerologiej.
