  • Impressive structure. The Narva Triumphal Arch was erected in 1814 to commemorate the Russian victory over Napoleon. The structure was constructed on the Narva highway with the purpose of greeting the soldiers who were returning from abroad after their victory over Napoleon. The material used was wood and a weather-resistant plaster that was never intended to be permanent. Between 1827 and 1834 Vasily Stasov redesigned and rebuilt the gate in stone. After the bombardments during the town's siege in WWII where it suffered a lot, it was restored (works finished in 2009) in its original (stone) condition. A visit is recommended.
  • Many pass by while enjoying this architectural monument, and don't know what's inside, at the top, is a Museum, one of the branches of the Museum of urban sculpture. A variety of programs out there that are usually timed to coincide with significant dates of military victories of Russia. Visiting the Museum of useful for adults and schoolchildren. Here you can purchase the book on the history of Russia. Small museum, skillful guy!

  • Very small museum from one Hall. For people with reduced mobility capabilities not available in single room lead close and steep spiral stairs.
