  • Contemporary sculpture park is one of the quirky streets of St. Petersburg. There are practically side by side stand blind, cute dog-wishmaster Gavrjusha, a policeman Uncle Styopa, three original angels and other non-standard compositions.

  • Here is again some confusion! Playground named "Park modern sculpture is located in the courtyard of the Philological Faculty of St. Petersburg University, and get there a simple tourist, though very interesting, but quite problematic. On the street the same Truth from the garden Theater of young spectators also have samples of contemporary sculpture-everything in sight and you can easily walk between the "Canvassing", "Gavrjushej" and other. By the way, the second I didn't very delighted-sculpture, in my opinion, "Ahti", though quite "famous". Honestly, I liked the epic mosaic "Christ blessing children" on the building of University of cinema and television (both times, the street of truth, 13). Here is truly a beautiful sight! And, unfortunately, is not known.

  • I knew long ago that in the courtyard of the Philological Faculty of St. Petersburg State University, which was formerly only in Leningrad and was named A.a. Zhdanov, created a contemporary sculpture Park. But somehow it all did not visit there, and today it happened. I got a visit from great moral pleasure. Recommend ...

Where to stay in St. Petersburg

For luxury hotels with a price tag to match, you can't beat the city's historical heart--Palace Square--and Nevsky Prospekt, the main avenue that connects the square to the Neva River. The area around St. Isaac's Cathedral, at the west end of Nevsky Prospekt, also offers a great selection of luxury and mid-range options. If you want to see the other side of the city, consider staying on Vasilyevsky Island, at the mouth of the river. Increased competition means that St. Petersburg now offers a wide range of inexpensive but funky hostels scattered throughout the city.
