  • The Imperial Palace is not, not notable nobles. This can be noticed by prostovatomu Interior, not the high ceilings, not the lush rooms. All about home anymore. A little crudely. A lot of different styles. Chinoiserie was remembered. The influence of the master felt.

  • Small by the standards of Peter, the Palace. Small, more like a large House of the landowner. Menshikov built it out honestly "savings" on 12 building boards of funds. And built before the buildings of 12 boards. Turned a spacious Palace), but quite modest. Inside now sometimes features concerts and can be accessed on the tour.

  • Long dreamed to visit there, but the Hermitage and the Russian Museum won. In stark contrast to the later Palace ensembles in St. Petersburg. If you have the time and the weather is nice, you can walk from Palace Square. Queues in this museum does not happen, and the show is that.

  • As wonderful as the Hermitage main building. You can visit this beautiful place with the same ticket. I strongly suggest you to buy the tickets here, so you can avoid the never-ending queue at the Heritage main building.
  • Great looking historical building. There is also quite a good restaurant inside, with a garden inside the palace
  • Not impressed, I would prioritize other Palaces over this one and only go if you have spare time. Use the automatic ticket booths instead of waiting in line (especially for students as the staff here doesn't seem to properly recognize student cards).
  • Work hours are incorrect! Location (Museum entrance) is not in the specified location! Title-this is beyond comprehension! 3 times fixed, Google stands his ground. "Palace"?! Palace!))) Oh, guuugooolll ... or the Hermitage linkbacks. Ay, PiAtrovskij! Website of the Museum you can also tweak ... Palace of the first St. Petersburg Governor Aleksandr Danilovich Menshikov. The interiors of the 18 century, the exhibition "Russian culture of the 18th century, part of the Hermitage Collections. The first stone building of Petersburg. The palace complex is part of the Hermitage. The first Thursday of each month (from 10 to 21) admission is free!

  • I remember in the old days, in the great Hall were held Sunday concerts with unique performers and often played the little body in the form of hours of standing at the Western Wall of the room. Customers, who learned about the music Sunday, came to 12-00 and receive a real pleasure. On the second floor there is a room with Chinese wallpaper and if you look carefully, you will see that all the characters are smiling together with animals and birds. Fabulously!
