  • The name says it all. Fully preserved (and restored) atmosphere of the Palace will not leave you indifferent. While there, feel the effect "full immersion" in the atmosphere of the beginning of 18 century. That's it from the neighboring rooms will leave Alexander Danilovich! Moreover, Peter himself seems not for long left his favorite Cabinet. Categorically recommend!

  • Menshikov Palace Pro for the first time heard a little more than a year ago, and then being in another Museum. A story about once the most luxurious Palace of St. Petersburg are interested in, and as soon as there was a possibility, decided to visit almost the last white spot where the city never had to happen. Now the appearance of the Palace of inferior paints past and not-so-Palace attracts attention like the Santon, Peter the great during his lifetime. Unfortunately the internal decoration just survived only in part. Nevertheless preserved rooms that remember even the life of a great Prince in the Palace. Spend the time and cost that would see at least a small part of what has created the greatest Trezzini, a favourite of Peter i. Despite a mrachnovatost' Palace, rooms which have preserved the splendor of the 18 century and felt the chic at the time.

  • In a less crowded part of the city, this annex to the Hermitage should delight you! Indeed, in addition to the objects (e.g. all coal-burning stoves) on the ground floor, you can admire pieces dressed in Dutch faience tiles and dressed Russian faience stoves. If you observe well the Dutch pastoral scenes, you can see that they are different from each other... and there are many! The ladies are really lovely and really contribute to the warm atmosphere of this small museum.
