  • The Palace is located near the Champs de Mars (from the middle of which you can see the bells above the clock main entrance), not far from the Hermitage. In front of the Palace stands a huge sculpture of Emperor Alexander III on horseback and a few arthouse objects. The Palace amazes with the quality and beauty of the many shades of marble, which is faced with the Palace itself, all the halls and stairs inside the sculpture. Temporary exhibitions are held in the Palace of the Russian Museum, as well as for several years a terrific exhibition of family Rzhevskih. In the rooms of Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich Romanov (poet k. r.) can be accessed only with a guided tour. All rooms are perfectly preserved, they are small-sized, with a unique interior, with an interesting history.

  • Marble Palace is perhaps less well known than St. Michael and Stroganoff. He was not very lucky with the location. 20 minutes by metro from the Centre, it is necessary to pass all the Champs de Mars. It was built on the orders of Catherine II as a gift to a favorite Empress Grigory Grigorievich Orlov for active participation in the events of the year 1762 Orlova. However, the marble palace was built for so long that count Orlov died before the completion of the works. It houses the permanent exhibition "Ludwig Museum in the State Russian Museum" is a collection of German collectors Peter and Irene Ludwig, who donated his collection to the Russian Museum. In addition, the recently opened several more rooms, where the exhibited works, donated by collectors Rzhevskih. Almost always in addition to permanent exhibitions there are also temporary exhibitions. True, sometimes very original, controversial. Very nice looks the main staircase of the marble palace. Since 1994, before the main entrance of the marble palace exhibits an equestrian statue of Emperor Alexander III. A rather controversial monument. Very heavy looks Emperor. In general it can be said that against the backdrop of the Mikhailovsky Castle, for example, marble clearly loses. But still its worth a visit.

  • There are beautiful exhibitions of an classic and modern art.
  • Gorgeous
  • Очень пафосное здание.
  • Great collection of modern art. Something there are a chance to encounter a very good exhibition. The bad thing is that some of rooms are closed from time to time due to lack of staff
  • The Palace is beautiful on the outside. Very nice Hall, staircase and a couple of rooms inside the Palace. In the other halls housed the exhibition of contemporary art. For the amateur, we ran for five minutes, look not at that.
