  • At the moment, most companies offer a view of the Fort from the water and only one carries people directly in the Fort on the tour. The outside looks more impressive than inside.

  • Were with her son-a teenager in St. Petersburg and bought an excursion to Kronshtad with a visit to the forts. Fort struck from the very beginning, when only swam up to this village, surrounded by water-it stands on an artificial island. Having passed through the huge old gates were in the courtyard. The tour held a man partial to the fate of the Fort, so the story it was emotional and interesting. We gladly polazili with his son inside the old stairs, resembled the corridors on which now walk out, imagining how things were before, watched from the roof of the surrounding panorama. Were very impressed. But it is a pity that today, the Fort fell into disrepair.

  • Old Russian fort in sad shape but a great photo opportunity. Illegal to go ashore.
  • Not impressed. Went on a bus tour and boat trip. Small town, buildings, typical. Most memorable: Naval Cathedral and forts. On the marine stroll, ferry went through the channel at a distance from the forts, forts have travelled themselves, some of them abandoned, part belongs to the military. At least it's something new compared with doors and cardboard galleries

  • Since the founding of St. Petersburg in 1703 year waterways in the Gulf had strategic importance for Russia. Peter began construction of forts in the Gulf and the first military facility on the island of Kotlin Island-Fort Kronshlot in year 1704. Over the next two centuries continued to strengthen this area. Louis Barthelemy Karbone (aka Lev Lvovich Karbone) in 1820-IES has developed a project of two marine forts to strengthen the defense of the southern fairway. On the form of forts were supposed to represent the upper part lying horizontally, allowing anywhere in the wall would have a dual surface curvature, which should lead to ricochet round cores. After the death of Karbone, in 1836, the year the Special Committee headed by engineer-Lieutenant-General Hull communications Jean-Antoine-Maurice Destremom reviewed the plan for the new fortress. Construction began in 1838, following the approval of the new Emperor Nicholas I project under the direction ...

  • A Pearl among the forts of the Gulf. Unfortunately getting there was not easy, only if you do not find your cherished way over here. I've been here five times, at various events. By the way, this is where the Fort was finish the international sailing regatta Volvo ocean Race in 2008 year. Place a cool and atmospheric, you're lucky if you get here.

  • The only way to get themselves up to this point, it is only by thick ice in the winter. But you have to be very careful and don't go at it alone. Even with the cold of winter, there are ships that are destroying some of the ice and he starts to move and crack in many places. It is also difficult to get inside there all sealed and brewed. There was talk that there used to be a restaurant there and celebrated different events. Then everything was closed, for it is not beautiful in such cases to arrange the historic site. Outwardly similar to the well-known Fort Boyard. In kronstadt tours by plane and just this Fort with altitude more interesting others.
