Certainly far from downtown, but taxis (Please confirm the price and booking your hotel or use Uber) are very cheap to SPB. The permanent collection is reserved for contemporary Russian artists, and if the quality of the exhibited works is not uniform it is however raised and especially with many very interesting comments. Two or three hours are needed to visit this place, which in addition has an excellent restaurant.

We have already been in St. Petersburg Times 7, sometimes on 2-3 days, sometimes weeks, but somehow only this time hear about Erarta Museum. Money: r 500 day (there is a benefit to age 21 years and after 60-350) 950 r. for a year! (Grace 650). If you'd lived in St. Petersburg, exactly would buy annual tickets. The more discount on them in the restaurant-10% (but very tasty)). Unfortunately we only had 3:00 at the exposition, but in principle for the first time. Survived a storm of emotions. And laughed (the Russians are coming 2-there is a parade, irrepressible women and instead of flags proudly develop carpets))), and cry (Vasilisa in Wonderland). In fact I often laughed, looking at some of the work, often with sadness at something staring, gazed down incredulously at something and there were certain associations awakened some emotions, different thoughts, memories. Sometimes like to go back and look for a job again. Of course something is not cepljalo. But we are different, we like and dislike different things. Even if you don't particularly like contemporary art, still advise to go and here are a few reasons: 1. look as decorated as Exposition put light as the description note on sounds, Museum and really very thought out and shows that over each ...

A 30 km ride from St. Petersburg on the Baltic Sea. The complex was established by Peter the great in the 18th century. The Russian tsars and emperors were hanging out here. Some call the complex "Versailles of Russia".

The museum focuses on Russian contemporary art and is one of the best contemporary art museums. Built to be a museum from the very beginning, it is very convenient and throughoutly thought. The museum has very friendly and helpful staff who even got us a baby carriage to replace our stroller (which is not allowed to be taken inside). Although ticket price is somewhat high, it is definitely worth it (be sure to get a yearly pass if you plan on visiting twice - price would be the same!)

Interesting permanent collection. Fresh exhibitions every month. Many ticket windows, but you have to go to another window pay for the tickets, not comfortable. But if you have the subscription, you can go faster in halls

This is one of the only places to get a sense of what young Russians feel. It includes sex, protest, and politics which you cannot see in the state museums. It was a wonderful way to end a visit to St Petersburg, after I wondered where all the modern things went, and where the youth was hiding their impressions. Well worth the trip by bus from downtown. Also eat in the terrific restaurant. There are tours, special spaces to individualize your visit, and helpful staff that actually smile!

Great Modern museum. The only privately owned in St Petersburg. Check out their restaurant downstairs! Amazing food, looks like work of art too!

It's a bit on the small side, but if there is an exhibition you are interested in check it out. I went for a concert. It was nice to be in such an intimate venue, but the chairs are a bit...foldy...
