  • The Museum can be interesting for adults, but children will love for sure. Lots of moving models, panoramic installation operating layouts. Sorting Hill led to the delight of all children in our Outback (and had them at least two dozen, ranging in age from 3 to 8 years). Excellent guide "focusing on youth, told simply and clearly. The exhibits are very illustrative and interesting. For those who are interested in transport adults too many interesting things: historical designs, samples of forms of different times, interesting examples of technology and rare designs cars. For children in a souvenir shop good books and icons. The museum itself is not too big and my son (5.5 years) interest was maintained during the inspection of all halls. So all fans of locomotives, wagons, bridges and embankments, regardless of age, would recommend. Parents can say-great kul'tpohoda at the weekend. All successful viewing.

  • Was at the Museum with her grandson. On the tour, there were not a sufficient number of visitors, so walked ourselves. Private tour was not cheap. The Museum Exposition is excellent and extensive, but self-examination may be interesting only to those who are already familiar with the history of domestic railways.

  • Central Museum of railway transport. One of the oldest scientific and technical museums in the world-was formed on the orders of Alexander 1 in 1809 one of the divisions of the Corps of engineers of communications ... then the railroads that wasn't even to speak of those engineers were engaged in the construction of roads and bridges. The modern building was constructed specially for the Museum next to the Yusupov Garden on Moscow Street. and opened in December 1902. A year later he even Nikolay 2 visited. Now it is relatively small (only 8 rooms), a few old-fashioned (nothing new over the past couple of decades there almost does not appear)-but very cozy and interesting Museum. Undergo regular tours (and I was lucky enough to get one of them). and it is worth a walk through the Museum with a guide-Bo tell really much interesting, though aunt guide identity quite archaic style and format of delivering material not especially modern, on the other hand it is very much in the theme and subject of the exposition itself not too progressive. And the main thing that the tour guide include all sorts of existing models that at independent inspection does not work. This and marshalling yard-works on all its laws-only in miniature, and the layout of the route of electric trains with all these systems manage semaphores and arrows and all sorts of other cool existing devices. As a child I would soul sold for so many toys in one place. Here grows up with him-Makso learn the intricacies of railway in the world. still very liked there small but incredibly realistic dioramas on the main stairs. ... and a bunch of any devices for adjustment and the automation movement on Rails shooter-the true purpose of which remains a mystery.

  • Impressive museum that really brings to life the construction of the Russian railways, especially the transsiberian. Unfortunately, absolutely nothing is in English, and there isn't even an audioguide! It's a real pity.
  • The place keeps USSR-style atmosphere. Can be interesting to those who was born in USSR in 70's.
  • An interesting Museum, but expected more diversity of exhibits. + a large number of models of steam locomotives and locomotives interesting historical documents interesting postcards in the Museum Shop (100 rubles)-lack of exhibits of technical means, such as the equipment technical means of locomotives at the proper level for such an expensive ticket Museum (300 USD), for example, the price of the ticket Museum of history, science and technology of the Sverdlovsk railway in Ekaterinburg twice smaller, but Exposition more interesting.

  • Museum hails from the USSR. Very old. A small. Years to make themselves felt. Toilet stinks. Old layouts. Good says on the RZD, that have not invested in the oldest Museum of anything. One can not go
