Learn about buddhist philosophy, visit an astrologist, and explore the grounds of Buddhist Temple (Budisky Khram). Built in 1915, the temple and cultural center were constructed by Agvan Dorjiev with the permission of Tsar Nicholas II, despite opposition from the Russian Orthodox Church. In 1919, the Red Army vandalized the temple; although public worship resumed shortly thereafter, opposition to the Buddhists remained. Enter the temple and meet with one of the buddhists who maintain the site and cultural center, discuss their philosophies, and learn about their interpretation of the stars from a buddhist astrologist. View the memorial plaque on the grounds marking the events of 1938, when the monks on the property were gathered and killed as part of the purges initiated by the Stalinist regime. Walk through the surrounding gardens and sample authentic Uzbek cuisine at the popular on-site cafe. The temple is easily accessible via public transportation, but be sure to check opening hours before you visit. • A year ago the first visited this temple (see review of the last year), this time specifically plan the trip added this place to once again visit the tour really liked it last time. Unfortunately, the tour was canceled due to the departure of Tsultim Lama. Decided with a friend, that we in the Church anyway, admire its architecture and soak up its positive energy. Hit the Khural-increased their representation on Buddhism, I was wondering. The believers of other religions at the Hural may not be comfortable.

  • My god! What gibberish, shame on this temple! They don't cure anything, they can only help diffident people. Let's start with the case in the dining room! When a woman in the cafeteria, choked on Manta! All stood and clapped eyes (including the famous Monk, can't remember exactly as his name and I don't want to remember, but it was September 23. so here it is the poor simply die from such a trivial problem, but can be seen in this day with my husband not simply so there were ... what luck that she was able to help! I do not advise to go there, reminded me of it all healers of the nineties and 2000s. Prescribe all "dust roadside sit two aunts, one rasklvdyvaet sachets, the second dust on them puts and wraps. behind sits the girl in jacket and rasklvdyvaet gryznymi hands of a pea on sachets! Here is a woman with gryznymi feet in front of your nose, her masiruût legs, and immediately give us recommendations! Give course powder for two weeks, is it worth 1300, my husband gave two months in connection with his work, asked 4600, in this place, I realized that I'm good and that their assistance I certainly don't need!

  • Every visit to ST. PETERSBURG tried to allocate time to visit temples. After the service, descended into the dining room, on which there are so many wrote. Dirty, very dirty, very modest and very tasteless, relaxed service. Pelmeshki with minced meat factory-40 rub one piece. Curiosity filled. Will only attend service
