  • We are all accustomed, that Petersburg is the capital of the Empire: the winter palaces, Peterhof, Pushkin ... And here is another side of this grandeur-not less impressive, atmospheric, but the other around from location in the industrial zone and ending with the shock of this fading beauty. Will not pick up bread at the guides (by the way, only with them here, you can get free no login), retelling the story of the family and especially of interiors and facades it is worth hearing and see personally. I note only that the merchant family left us not only an architectural masterpiece, but also very interesting trace in history. And that the word "genuine" during the excursion sounds very often (this mansion was lucky to retain much of the original furniture of the year 1886 minimally invasive restoration novodela in very good condition). It's worth to see these goosebumps when touched, and awareness of the above it is worth to feel.

  • The terrible beauty power! It's a pity that sometimes beauty give wither. Mansion Brusnicynyh Merchants have long attracted me with its history and chic photo in social networks. Recently quite by chance stumbled in Instagram for the post that you can sign up for a tour with a group to visit the subject of dreams. The mansion is not a Museum, owned by private persons, but not used for its intended purpose. Most of the genuine old lost, the remaining part, alas, is not in the best condition and in need of repair. A premise like filmmakers, it's often for rent for shooting, including private. If you do not know what to do with themselves during the weekend-I advise to visit. P.s. bring your camera with a good Flash! My photos are made by telephone and processed very much.

  • Completely unknown to me. Random excursion and full of delight and horror. What is the mysterious family history simple Russian peasant, and the mansion, and the possibility of losing this beauty. Interiors created with such taste, refinement. Miraculously surviving lamps. And just the other day a message that this monument will be restored. Hooray! If there is the possibility, I advise you to visit this unique place. Get a real pleasure.

Where to stay in St. Petersburg

For luxury hotels with a price tag to match, you can't beat the city's historical heart--Palace Square--and Nevsky Prospekt, the main avenue that connects the square to the Neva River. The area around St. Isaac's Cathedral, at the west end of Nevsky Prospekt, also offers a great selection of luxury and mid-range options. If you want to see the other side of the city, consider staying on Vasilyevsky Island, at the mouth of the river. Increased competition means that St. Petersburg now offers a wide range of inexpensive but funky hostels scattered throughout the city.
