  • 21.03.2017 was at the presentation of the book of memory of our compatriots killed in the years of the second world war in Austria. The book created a citizen of Austria, collected by tiny pieces of the family name, birth date, time and place of death. Nobody is forgotten, nothing is forgotten. The book was handed directly to the Director of the library, in the presence of the Lieutenant Governor, SP-b and in the presence of a representative of the Committee of friendship of Austria and Russia. Sincerely moved citizens of Austria to our deceased ancestors, they sincerely want everyone from Russia was found, maybe there were his descendants, they have advocated it. And watch for the graves of our dead soldiers, our citizens who died in World War II. The Austrian State is doing without the help of Russia, that's unfortunate, because the German soldiers cemetery, near Sinyavino contains in the order of the German State. I understand they are conquerors, we liberated Europe, but why such different attitudes?

  • In the Presidential Library. Yeltsin has a lot of interesting and useful information. The building itself is gorgeous. Inside you can see exhibitions, to use base library. Get into the room is not easy, it is guarded by the FSO. In the Library holds various congresses, which has all the conditions. Was there on several all-Russian congresses.

  • At work, organized a tour of Imperial Petersburg, CTE building included a visit to the Presidential Library. Boris Yeltsin, of course, I couldn't miss it:) The library is located in the former building of the Synod and the Senate. Was founded in the year 2007, but opened it in 2009 year. Library is pretty informative website on the CTD can also be found and learned a lot of useful information in Russian language and Russian statehood. But when visiting the halls of the library you opened access to copyrighted material. Anyone can visit the library, the only thing you have to carry is a passport. During the tour, in addition to the story about the history of the building, by the way, very beautiful and harmonious within, we visited a conference room, a multimedia complex, reading room, as well as an exhibition hall. Here hold various exhibitions, and a separate room is dedicated to the main law of the country, and there is only one copy of the Russian Constitution. The reading room is equipped with 60 seats for readers, here is a place where readers of the register, issue a library ...

  • Library, which has at its disposal a large collection of books in electronic form is located in the building of the Senate and Synod. The subjects mainly historical, political, economic, and linguistic. You can sign up for a passport at the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The entrance is reminiscent of inspection at the airport. Apparently, so attendance is low, 8 people per day.

Where to stay in St. Petersburg

For luxury hotels with a price tag to match, you can't beat the city's historical heart--Palace Square--and Nevsky Prospekt, the main avenue that connects the square to the Neva River. The area around St. Isaac's Cathedral, at the west end of Nevsky Prospekt, also offers a great selection of luxury and mid-range options. If you want to see the other side of the city, consider staying on Vasilyevsky Island, at the mouth of the river. Increased competition means that St. Petersburg now offers a wide range of inexpensive but funky hostels scattered throughout the city.
