  • When visiting the Museum learned a lot about life ", about the rules of their life, hunting of marine animals, about clothes and habits. The Museum's organizers had done a great job of collecting exhibits and selected exhibition itself very well

  • "Can there be an ideal Museum?". But here it is! Renovated barn for storing rowing ships on Seldjanom Cape. The first vessel, mortgaged at the shipyard, was somewhat reduced copy of yacht "Saint Peter", built by the Dutch in Arkhangelsk in 1693 to Tsar Peter i. Built the vessel for over ten years. The yacht now commits hikes with the aim of studying the Pomeranian culture. We were lucky. Beautiful yacht was at home. In July, the ship passed the throat of the White Sea, reached the shore Murman. And in the barn is now a copy of pomor boats shnjaki. Sewn vicami (roots of Juniper) boat without carcass without rowlocks», very light, not afraid of meetings with ICES, easy to die and for catching cod. Renovated in the year 2004, this shnjaka has been tested, proving the viability of technology the pomors. In the small museum can learn a lot about people's shipbuilding, on the peculiarities of the marine fisheries, on Ethnography severorusskogo, the Pomeranian culture, monastic marine traditions. Seamanship pomors greatly differed from Western European practices. Only the captains pomors were able to walk into ice waters! We all saw, learned and loved the pomors! And yet. Free admission, free guided tour (no audio, and live tour guide), free photography, post office, shop, music for the background, good arrangement of exhibitions. The ideal Museum!
