  • It is one of the churches at the monastery, the most beautiful in my opinion. Inside the Cathedral we admired the iconostasis (typical of Russian churches) and frescoes on every wall and pillar of the Church: all in excellent condition. Outside you'll see the typical onion domes of Orthodox churches: in this church a golden dome, is the other four around instead are heavenly with golden stars. The Church is located in a Plaza where there are other buildings including the high Bell Tower, the refectory. Next to the Cathedral there is the grave of Tsar Boris Godunov, the only Czar to be interred in the Moscow Kremlin. The Cathedral was built by Ivan the terrible to celebrate the victory in Kazan on the Mongols. It's the most beautiful church between those in the monastic complex: to visit.

  • Visited Akafiste before open the relics of Sergius of Radonezh. and the next Divine Liturgy. Served as a Bishop, and with him about another 10 priests! Such power! Such splendour, prayer and fear have never experienced! A day of tears after service ....
