  • Art Nouveau Museum is located in one of the most beautiful buildings of old Samara. It is always referred to as "House of Kurlinoj" by the name of his mistress, for which it was built by her husband-founder of Samara Corn Exchange merchant A.g. Kurlinym. Currently, the building is a monument of cultural heritage and is under the protection of UNESCO. Interesting exposition, marvelous interiors, attentive and well educated staff! I was impressed by audioguide. Use the device only costs 100 rubles, but makes the trip a memorable one. When buying tickets you can take headphones and electronic device. Moving from exhibit to exhibit the Art Nouveau era music and soft voice Narrator, just immersed in that time. The building itself is very well preserved. Absolutely no wonder that diplomats of the Kingdom of Sweden during the second world war, when Samara was the second capital, wrote that he went under the best Embassy building. Now there are literary evenings, music lounges, quests, film screenings and exhibitions. Museum lives very modern life.

  • I came to the Museum of Art Nouveau was already in the seventh hour of the evening with the intention not only to assess the permanent exhibition, but also get on a lecture on Modernism in European countries. Sympathetic staff gathered around me at the checkout, worrying that I didn't have time to get acquainted with the collection of the Museum prior to the lecture. As a result, the staff decided to hold for me, express tour, to guide me and draw attention to the most important moments of the exposition. It was very interesting. And anyway, can't help but appreciate the enthusiasm of staff-and is this ticket. History of the merchant family, former owners of the House, is very interesting. Interiors and Memorial items-impressed in their own way. Something, though, and failed to see the exposition of the second floor. Hastily ran at a lecture. The lecture was very interesting, were two young employees of the Museum, used a large screen to illustrate their story. At the end held a quiz-won tickets to one of the exhibitions and a book about the history of the Kurlinyh family. In General, gone in such a good mood that I had enough for a few days. The next few days with interest was reading a book. Really liked it.

  • The building, a very interesting not only samarcam a few years takes visitors a variety of exhibitions. Pretty fiscal reconstruction (and thanks to those who exerted their efforts, Trudy and tools) still gives an idea about the life of Samara merchants of the beginning of the 20th century. The staff are friendly, eager to tell, explain, help. The drawback-no hook in the cabin lavatory for a long time.
