  • In a very short time were Holy, stopped, after a visit to Sviyazhsk. Beautiful place: the amazingly beautiful nature, clean air, temples, flowerbeds, statues. Despite the abundance of pilgrims, very quietly. A source with holy water, the truth behind the water will have to stand in line.

  • Raithu monastery is located on the shore of a beautiful Lake, surrounded by forests. Interestingly, his name comes from the place on the Sinai Peninsula, where back in the 4th century Christian monks were killed. And the main spiritual shrine of the monastery since ancient times was a copy of the Miraculous icon of the Theotokos, Georgian icons, has returned to his homeland from the Persian captivity. The once powerful monastic walls, not just protecting the monastery from the attacks remained only part and three guard towers of the five. On the territory of the monastery has survived three Cathedral and an amazing little Sofia Church.

  • Nice except for keepnrussia strong political banner has no place at a monastery. A few hundred meters was a monument about the secret police and members of the red army being killed during the revolution. "Why this happened is not important" Oh??? Actually the red army and secret police were desecrating the monastary and the village people killed them. Not long after many villagers were executed and/or sent to Siberia! Interesting how Russia treats history, even now! Very sad!
  • Ok
  • It's quite peaceful place, very calm.
  • Nice to see
  • Beautiful monastery, with a very attentive and patient clergy. Stopped at the home of Pilgrim: very clean, comfortable, nicely. The House has its own parking, for living free.
