The Eagle Mounument, Pyatigorsk

On a hill above town, The Eagle Mounument stands as a symbol of the resort and glorifies the Caucasus' abundance of mineral water. According to legend, the eagle was bitten by a snake and about to die; it managed to get under a stream of the mountain water, which eliminated the poison from its blood. This statue was erected in 1901 for the resort's 100th anniversary. Since then, the authorities have replaced it several times, as the eagle kept disappearing. Climb along a wooded path to reach the site, which also offers superb views of the areas below. • The Eagle is interesting, but nothing unusual there is no! The same eagles there and in other cities of Kislovodsk, Yessentuki, etc.

  • The famous Eagle with bottles with Narzanom. It can be seen if you are walking from the Park to the garden gazebo in Chinese style. Nothing special.

  • Need to know where to go. That impressed-so it's a strong smell of hydrogen sulphide near this sculpture. Walking relaxes due to the sulfurous gases and in general very nicely. it is worth a stroll and sfotkatsja.
