Aeolian Harp, Pyatigorsk
(4.6/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
Nestled among lush greenery atop a hill overlooking the town, Aeolian Harp plays ethereal melodies and offers views of the areas below. Built in 1831, this gazebo structure once contained a real instrument that emitted harmonic frequencies when wind would blow. Today the music still plays, but it's produced by modern means independent of the wind. The pavilion also features atmospheric lighting. Dress warmly, as it can get cool at the site. Using our custom trip planner, Pyatigorsk attractions like Aeolian Harp can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Walking on the Pyatigorsk, necessarily rise to the Aeolian harp. Very nice view of Pyatigorsk. Wonderful sounds you hear once inside. Earlier Paul Bowers was harp, which published these sounds under the action of wind. This Pergola there are many drawings by Lermontov. So, he, too, walked here and admired. And it's an amazing journey in time.

  • Great view opens with playgrounds! When visiting with young children should follow them! There are no fences, and at the bottom of steep slope! Arbour herself has not impressed! The more that insane citizens manage to leave a message on it-tracks! Approaches do not clean! But the posh Park, where thanks to the snow kids walked enough, nakidalis' with snowballs and just shaking trees and stood under the by-products of the snowfall ...

  • In Pyatigorsk many hiking trails that you can wander for days. In the afternoon, when vacationers usually no procedures-these trails a godsend. There are various levels of complexity, so you can breathe the air of an elderly woman and climb on extreme mountain routes for young people. When simply wandering around bored-I have mini-goals, to visit a particular object. Jelova harp from such. The view from it is good, but there are better. It is valuable it is dear to her. There are asphalt tracks, and there is a steep climb by Lermontovsky Grota-mountain trail up. You can choose any. I was there in a very foggy day, view of the approaches and the gazebo (forgive me connoisseurs, so call this object) was as of Tarkovsky's stalker. Humming sound from the speakers under the roof amplified the sensations.
