Aeolian Harp, Pyatigorsk

(4.6/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web)
Nestled among lush greenery atop a hill overlooking the town, Aeolian Harp plays ethereal melodies and offers views of the areas below. Built in 1831, this gazebo structure once contained a real instrument that emitted harmonic frequencies when wind would blow. Today the music still plays, but it's produced by modern means independent of the wind. The pavilion also features atmospheric lighting. Dress warmly, as it can get cool at the site. Using our custom trip planner, Pyatigorsk attractions like Aeolian Harp can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Harp, certainly one of the most beautiful places in Pyatigorsk. Located on a hillside overlooking the town and the surrounding countryside (if you're lucky, you even see Elbrus). Places have beautiful nearly dvuhsotletnjaja history, playing beautiful music (column). Very romantic and umirotvorjonno.

  • Gazebo and pergola. Nothing special now. But the story about the harp is interesting. From pavilions offer beautiful views of the city.

  • Cute gazebo, one of the lermontovskih places in Pyatigorsk. It is a pity that the harp has nothing left now installed speakers that simulate the sounds of a harp. The view from the platform good: in clear weather you can see the Big Caucasian Ridge and Mount Elbrus.
