  • This park named after the Tsar Alexander I Romanov runs to the west of Catherine Palace and covers pretty large area of around 200 ha. We walked here for awhile after seeing the gorgeous Catherine Pal...  more »
  • In the Alexander Park last through 70 years after the war, restored and opened a very interesting Museum Pavilion Arsenal. This guide, said Russia's first Museum of weapons. Unusual for Russia as a whole and in particular Pushkin for neo-Gothic style, reminiscent of an English castle, attracts tourists, and for good reason. Inside is a very interesting collection of weapons, returned from the Hermitage's stores and, in particular, of the famous Knight's Hall. On three floors in a renovated, too, quite unusual and beautiful interiors housed the exhibits, "diluted" two small halls, where show short films, in addition to the tour, and one room with computer effects that simulate bombing and destruction brought by war. Excursion lasts more than an hour, and that not enough not only to discern every sword, sword or gun, but even a approach to all the stands with arms of different countries and eras. I think it is necessary to come with children, excursion will be interesting and memorable addition to the dry and dull texts textbooks. Allowed to take pictures (no Flash). Of the downsides, it may be noted that, as a small Pavilion, while only 3 trips, each with 15 people, so Sunday is always a turn on the street, which is not very comfortable, given the Petersburg weather. And quite uncomfortable to talk about this, but the Museum has no bathrooms for visitors and also no-only bushes to help you! But overall, I highly recommend to visit this new-old Pearl Alexander Park. It is a pity that in the Park are many ruins, which, apparently, are destined to a sad post. Fortunately, that this Arsenal uchesti escaped, and restorers have worked on glory!

  • Stunning Park, which is next door to the Catherine Park. Wide lanes and beautiful attractions. Not many people here even weekends. The perfect place for romantic walks. And autumn in this park fantastic specimens of bright colors.

  • Beautiful gardens, open early in the morning and free to visit. It's a good idea to arrive in Pushkin early and visit this park before heading to the main exhibit for Catherine's Palace, the area was almost empty when we walked around which made a lovely start to the day! The squirrels are also very tame and locals will feed them nuts straight out of their hands!
  • a gigantic park in a forgotten city. if you come to visit Saint Petersburg, you must visit Pushkin to!
  • Nice nearly wild park to walk or cycle.
  • Quite and cozy
  • Парк с отличным ландшафтным дизайном
