Delve into the history and development of an important household tool at Museum of Flat Irons, a repository for the antique items. Visit the museum, housed within a historic home constructed of wood and brick, and explore shelves lined with an extensive array of old-fashioned ironing equipment. You'll get a glimpse of life before the technology and automation of the modern age, when these irons represented a piece of the daily struggle people faced throughout the country. Among the collection, you'll see everything from thick, heavy-duty examples of irons to daintier versions with decorative handles and metal accents. Keep an eye out for other domestic artifacts, including keys, frames, teapots, and even a diving helmet. You can also join in on a tour to learn more, although it's offered only in Russian. Take a look at our Pereslavl-Zalessky tourist route planner to schedule your visit to Museum of Flat Irons and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.
