  • Here, in Pavlovsk town, in Sadovaja Ulitsa is settled this Pavlovsk State Museum of History. In fact, it is within the Pavlovsk Palace, that is located on the southern brink of the vast Pavlovskiy Par...  more »
  • Paul Palace (Pavlovsk), situated on the banks of the river Slavianka, is a few kilometres from the set of palaces of Tsarskoye Selo, where is the Catherine Palace. Pavlovsk was built by Catherine the great as a gift for his only son Paul. The Palace has a curved shape and a statue of Paul in the Centre, is surrounded by gardens. This was not an act of love, but a way to distance himself from the child, because it is known that mother and son used to hate each other. We note that the Palace of Paul is much simpler with more modest quarters, without a lot of gold. That left the Palace of Paulo much more refined and without the ostentation of the Catherine Palace. You can visit both on the same day we did the tour with a Russian guide of Portuguese language. We made first the Catherine Palace and even arriving earlier, the queues were huge, and that's the advantage of being on tour with a guide, you're passed in front. From there we went to the Palace of Paul, and even though much later, there was hardly any queue. Is a less popular by tourists, but we enjoyed the visit.

  • Park beautiful! The beginning of autumn, and he is buried in verdure. As always lot of impressions and pleasure from the beautiful landscapes. But! Went with a guest from another region. Come to the first of our Pavilion, wanted to read the information. Instead of the usual signs with the name and a brief description of the attractions-plate with a QR code. We have a good gadget, and utility for reading QR codes it has. But the code is unreadable! Then purposefully approached other pavilions-one and the same. What is it made of? Why not left near the old decals, where everything was written words. And if you enter innovations, they need to work. Park-excellent, Directorate-count.
