Pavlovsk Palace and Park, Pavlovsk

(4.7/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web)
Explore the old hunting grounds of former tsars at Pavlovsk Palace and Park, the home once belonging to Paul I featuring a large green space with an aviary, trails, and gardens. As you walk through the 607 hectare (1,500 acre) park, you'll pass landscaped gardens, bridges, ponds, rivers, and monuments. Empress Catherine II gave the land to her son, Paul I, and his wife and child in 1777. Construction on the palace began in 1781, and the couple traveled around Europe for years collecting objects to fill their new home. You can tour the interior of the house and view its ornate furniture and artwork. • Great location, charming palace. Pine air, squirrels. Feeling love and happiness of the family of Paul i. Appeasement. A delightful Park plan and territory around the Palace. After visiting the Museum changed attitudes towards Paul. This person is branded and forgot about how much he built palaces and created parks around! It is worth to go for a day, do not rush to relax!

  • Were with excursion in winter. Really liked it. It is a pity that it was not possible to see the Park. Very comfortable place. It is felt that hand made woman in the arrangement of the place.

  • Despite the fact that this Palace is less imposing such as l Hermitage but an inescapable place in Saint Petersburg. Indeed inside it is richly decorated with beautiful furniture and objects. Of course around the Park is to do.
