  • I like to get acquainted with the history of places I visit. Have a free minute in Novocherkassk, asked-where? Advised Don Museum. Benefit-next, went at once. Ticket for idle tourist 150 r (r +50 for the right to photograph). For groups, children and war-a lot cheaper. But I'm neither ... On the ground floor to the right from the entrance-nature of the region, history of the ancient period. The Scythians, mammoths and birdies with deer. Quite interesting. Further to the left-the history of the Cossacks. Award and trophy weapons, household items, paintings. More on the second floor: the twentieth century. All would be nothing, but some exhibits on show were not available, the description is, by fact-no. Nothing in WWII, and Soviet times reflected a casual ... Saw no connection with modernity, the former image of the city, for example-to the present. Wanted to buy the book with the history of the city-there are only references, and "images" for the visitor no. Thanks, but would like more.
