  • , Unfortunately, outwardly the temple is not in good condition, but inside the go service, was restoration, in generally good condition of spirit in it. Opened not constantly, and for services. Hit the procession. People a little bit, and the kids will gladly beat the bells at the end of the službyb that hang near the entrance to the temple.

  • During this visit I saw that before Nicholas Cathedral completed chapel that once here and was. Monument to Lenin, which stood on this site recently, was not destroyed, and moved onto the street for a Memorial of the victory, and everything is beautifully decorated. Respect myškarej for the careful attitude to all periods of history of the city and the country. Always happy to read signs on houses with bright concise information about their former owners or previous appointment.

  • This temple is the oldest stone building of Myshkin, he is older than the city itself-Nikolskaya Church in Myshkino village was built (by means of a merchant of the first Guild A.p. Berezina, in honor of the family icons of St. Nicholas) in 1766, and the status of the city of Myshkin got in 1777, the year after which the Church of Nicholas, Myra, became the city's Cathedral. Even after the construction of the magnificent assumption Cathedral (1805-1820) Nicholas Church lost its value because of prelate Nikolay, deemed patronizes including travelers (and after a lot of merchants travelled into or Myshkin), floating on the waters (and Myshkin was famous as a city of the Volga pilots), peasants ... The Cathedral, of course, had known better days, but now it is beautiful, majestic and has its own special atmosphere. From 1931 onwards on 2003 year the Cathedral was closed here housed a district House of culture. Now the winter city Cathedral (uspensky Cathedral in winter is closed). Work at the Cathedral parish school, parochial custody and with it a library. Previously worked as an exhibition in the basement of the Cathedral (room istopnika. stoves, Temple wine cellar and warehouses that once affected the merchants under their products), but currently it temporarily (?) closed.
