  • Façade of the Museum wave decent. But when you come to the Museum feeling of pity and resentment towards the authorities, which allow to a decline of Kola Peninsula history store. Mildew odor and dust, squeaky pureed floors (not even need to squelch). stuffed animal worn and Faded, that has not been updated for decades.

  • This museum was very long ago, when I studied in school. Long was going to visit there again, but got all the time for the holidays, when the Museum was closed. And here, finally, was able to visit there again, many years later. Of course rooms and exhibitions themselves have changed slightly, and it's not bad. There are a lot of new information that's interesting to know. The Museum provides information about the nature of the Kola peninsula, where Russia is the only exposition of the seabed, excavated from the depths in drilling super-deep wells Kola (listed in the Guinness Book of records). There are also rooms where you can learn about the animal world edge and birds (didn't even know about this number of birds), which live in these parts. There is a large hall with information on the post-war period history: reconstruction of the Murmansk region in 1945-1960, the economic development of the region (fishing, mining and chemical industries, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, energy, transport, agriculture and forestry), science and culture. And there are function rooms in which you can learn about:-the history of the region from ancient times to the present (Genesis of the Saami and pomors, October socialist revolution, civil war and intervention Murman, changes in political, social and economic spheres of life of the region from 1985 to the present day). -revolutionary events Murman, on the implementation of the industrialization and collectivization in 1920-1930-ies, exploration of the Northern sea route, the establishment of the northern fleet, fighting on the territory of the Murmansk region during the great patriotic war. On the history of the region presented archeological monuments; the original household items, tools of traditional Sami handicrafts and pomors, interiors of homes, churches and the Kola fortress, trade items from past centuries, exhibits on the construction of the railroad and the city of Murmansk. There is a photo collection of documents, rare photos and collection of written sources. Presented a large collection of minerals on the Kola peninsula and their use. On the Kola Peninsula in industrial scale open 3/4 of all known minerals. On the ground floor of the Museum, you can visit the temporary exhibitions. There's photos of the filming of the movie "icebreaker" 2016 onwards. Full adult ticket total 150 rubles, 50 rubles photography. I would recommend visitors to visit this Museum, and plunge into the history of these places.
