Where to stay in Moscow

The capital of Russia and a huge metropolis, Moscow offers a plethora of different types of accommodations. Many renowned hotel chains are represented in the city, and some of its hotels rank among the world's most luxurious and expensive. Those traveling on a more modest budget can choose among the boutique or Soviet-era hotels. There are also numerous hostels and short-term rental apartments throughout the city. When choosing a place to stay, especially if you're only planning for a short visit, always bear in mind the size of Moscow. Staying too far from the center might mean that the precious time you could spend on sightseeing will be wasted in traffic and transport.

  • Exhibition Center "worker and kolkhoz woman"-new modern big building, but quite empty, even in the day of free admission (the third Sunday of the month)-a total of 4 person. You can imagine that in the days of paid visit (ticket 200 rubles, as indicated on the site) are entirely empty. Permanent exhibition-1 floor, the exposition is very small. You can view for 5 minutes-a few cards, icons, charts, clippings from old newspapers and photos. Very little Exposition, I expected much more. On the 2 floor-uninspiring exhibition of black and white, or rather gray paintings of Victor Prokhorov is not interesting to watch. Souvenir shop on 1 floor-the same small and skimpy as the exposition. In addition to the second floor, there are rooms for 3 and 4 floors-but there were empty and the entrance is closed. Visiting of this Museum-in vain lost time, enough to view and photograph the sculpture "worker and kolkhoz woman" from the outside. The ticket price is clearly overstated. Adequate price visit this museum-zero roubles. Open until 9:00 pm.

  • Were on exhibition tour "Moscow through the eyes of an engineer". Lots of interesting facts about both the monument and Pavilion on which it was installed. Thanks to the restoration began in 2003 year monument got a proper pedestal, and we in addition to Exhibition Hall still and observation deck. So it is best to visit with a guided tour, and a lot of interesting facts tell and get to the observation deck. Ibid. learn what screensaver Mosfilm differs from the original.
