  • Interesting place with alleys or streets Zabelin really see and understand. Once inside the monastery feel that for a couple of centuries traveled back in time, unusual sensations. Wonderful places in this part of the beloved city, always in a great mood and new impressions, walk one pleasure at any time of the year, and now the street has become a convenient and comfortable for a pedestrian. All good mood and new impressions!

  • I advise you to visit this monastery in kitai-Gorod district, will not be disappointed. On the territory of the monastery, you can visit the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist (inside is no less impressive than the outside), the chapel of St. John the Baptist, the Goblin Temple Elizabeth Chudotvoricy (was closed). The buildings of the monastery are not perfect, but overall good condition. 'Erritorija in General, given the compact city center, it is divided into parts radiating from the Cathedral to other buildings with stone arcades. On one of the arcades is a whole Tower, consisting of small bells. Outside, excellent views of the monastery are opened with elevation opposite from the Church of St. Vladimir (unless you count that on the one hand the monastery is very nesimpatichnoe, but rather a massive building with oblezlym façade, obviously some echo of Soviet times). The convent was founded in the 15th century, but during the war of 1812 year practically was completely destroyed by fire during the fire of Moscow. In 1860-1878 BC. the monastery was rebuilt and, interestingly, in the style of neo-Renaissance, repeating the style of the Florentine Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore (note the original dome of the Cathedral of the monastery). Among the inhabitants of the monastery were many well-known personalities, it is worth mentioning the Saltychihu contained in the prison, and then found among nuns. It is noteworthy that on the territory of the monastery in 20-30-ies of the 20-th century the city housed a camp for enemies of the regime.
