  • Visited Tattoo Convention in Sokolniki. Saw a lot of interesting artists from Russia and other countries. At the exhibition there was a lot of creative activity, tattoo contests, lectures and master klassova, the same way it was possible to make a tattoo or consult with the masters. It was very interesting!

  • For many years I'm fond of embroidery. Visit virtually all amateur shows. Exhibition in Sokolniki will never miss, but decided to write for the first time. Pent up! From Sokolniki Metro station there is a shuttle service in the form of a large tour bus. Turn from wishing to leave is just awesome. The bus allowed reserved seats. As a result, the bus is hosted at best third queue. Next bus arrives 20 minutes later. By this time the queue again grows to an enormous size. Immediately hang out private drivers offering a trip to the Pavilion for 100 USD per person. This time me unspeakably lucky! Somehow, the interval between buses was small, and I left relatively quickly. I have an e-ticket, in the queue to purchase tickets was not. This is my (and universal) luck has ended. Entering the exhibition hall, we saw a turn in the wardrobe, starting almost from the front doors! The case was after 12:00 days. This catastrophe explained that all labels in the wardrobe is already distributed and new coats take only when someone decides to get dressed and leave the exhibition ... In this release I spent 40 minutes. Many steel stand and walked around the exhibition in winter clothes. Given the heat and the crush in the Pavilion, this fact anyone mood did not improve. This huge turn no one regulates. Naturally, someone climbed without queues, someone resented someone cursing. When I finally got into the wardrobe, in response to the resounding expressed indignation at the visitors, staff cloakroom became applaud MOL orite louder ... Imagine my amazement when I saw that a certain part of the wardrobe is absolutely empty, there hangs a single coat. Employees simply did not want to go there! This absolutely outrageous irresponsibility organizers made a terrible impression on me. Every visitor paid 250-300 ...

  • The best exhibition center in Moscow to be honest. Located in the heart of Moscow, easy to reach by metro and surrounded by a great park whilst having superb parking conditions in case you want to run an exhibition. The management is great too - very flexible and always ready to help. On top of that, they have good furniture available etc. Sokolniki is better than Crocus overall. Crocus is very very far away, very expensive and you are very limited in what you can do there.
  • Having attended multiple events at the Sokolniki Exhibition Center over the years, I am convinced that it is one of the best exhibition sites in Moscow, if not the best. The location is unbeatable with its proximity to the city center, Sokolniki metro station, and excellent accommodation (viz. the Sokolniki Holiday Inn). The surrounding park is beautiful, replete with cafes and attractions (e.g., the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy). Each of the spacious exhibition pavilions is well-appointed, and I have been consistently impressed by booth construction on each of my visits. The staff are friendly and competent (many are English-speaking as well). Overall, it is a superb venue--easily 5 stars.
  • Lovely nature part around. Very nice place to walk.
  • Beautiful, big and clean park, easily accessible with the metro. There's much to see there.
  • Good expo space.

Where to stay in Moscow

The capital of Russia and a huge metropolis, Moscow offers a plethora of different types of accommodations. Many renowned hotel chains are represented in the city, and some of its hotels rank among the world's most luxurious and expensive. Those traveling on a more modest budget can choose among the boutique or Soviet-era hotels. There are also numerous hostels and short-term rental apartments throughout the city. When choosing a place to stay, especially if you're only planning for a short visit, always bear in mind the size of Moscow. Staying too far from the center might mean that the precious time you could spend on sightseeing will be wasted in traffic and transport.
