  • The last time the closed entrance to the Museum 20 years ago, I stood-led the bride show "architecture." Alas, failed. And here is a dream fulfilled-we got inside. I believe that it's just a shame for our country to have such a Museum in the Centre of the capital. Let's start with the main entrance from the Vozdvizhenki. Through it do not get inside. Yes, Yes, that through him, through a place which every day go on the streets of thousands of tourists and compatriots. By wonderful old wooden doors, which, like those of Pope Carlo, covered with a banner on which were printed .... doors (I examined this entrance area already inside-touched the copper handles fingered antique tree ...) Through the entire input zone stretched two not painted metal heating pipes-whether in a dashing 90-e or later did this ugliness. Next door to the lobby room Café. In the Sunday evening was closed. A woman selling tickets, said that usually the Café is open on Saturday, when a lot of people. Next to Café-a huge room with good but few books on architecture. Boy-seller all the 15 minutes we were in the shop something studied in the monitor. Really it was impossible to combine into one book seller and seller Café? Friends, move just a café in the book shop, leave to stand there, ...

  • Exposition of non-standard, among the objects of the exhibition very much old projects, drawings. The museum itself is not very big, you can bypass all less than an hour. Extremely interesting building in the heart of the city, from the Manege square and Lenin library step 2. Recommend to pay attention to the surroundings of the building itself, there is a unique corner fireplace and a wonderful painting on the ceiling in one room.

  • The Museum is very good. Premises are bright, with high ceilings, natural light from the large Windows. The room-Museum. So you have to build! Palace of the 18th century. Have not been in such a beautiful building. Museum employees are very friendly. All show, tell, tell. We have the youngest daughter got tired, they noticed, prompted where you can relax on the chairs (in the adjacent Hall). The exposition is very interesting. We walked looked temporary exhibition, Krasnoyarsk architecture of XIX-XX centuries, constant attention is small, but it looks like it is worth it to look at it separately. There is a virtual museum. Very rich. Mass of projects implemented and no detail. Be sure to check whether there are on-line. I watched the presentation "pavilions at the exhibition in Glasgow Shekhtel. Surprisingly interesting and informative. One detail, the double-headed Eagles are depicted pavilions without crowns. Great layouts. Project layout of the Kremlin Palace you can study for hours. In the far corner is invisible Masonic room. Where is it to be not in the Museum of architecture. Class! The Museum have a great yard, which, by the way, the entrance open. Also the Museum courtyard, very beautiful. Will definitely go again.

  • Depressive place clearly lacking of funds to desserve to be called a museum. The Kremlin model is of course impressive, but almost everything is written in Russian and the staff is not helpful. You feel like you are entering a models and drawings warehouse. Furthermore, most of the (few) exhibited projects are from other countries, not in Russia. It is thus not the place to go if you want to better understand Russian architecture.

  • The best museum in Moscow
  • Went here for the second time on the night of the museums in 2017. Program and shares were interesting, including the "window to the past": find a place in the Museum, where it was filmed some old inlet obtained picture, and make a photo from the same angle. However, the Museum three years later nothing has changed in terms of that, perhaps he needs a repair. We heard the edge of the ear from the visitors: "Museum of architecture, and in this State." However, it is addressed to specialists. Interesting exhibitions, temporary and permanent "Nesluchivsheesja future" dedicated to one exhibit: model the big Kremlin Palace, designed by Vasily Bazhenov to Catherine the great. Strictly prohibited photos of rooms with layouts. It is not clear just what with Wing "Ruin", which had been famous for its exhibitions, the Cabinet of its founder. Now the "Ruin" empty completely, you can only walk the stairs up to the Lecture Hall, and it was not clear whether the advertised renovation or not.

Where to stay in Moscow

The capital of Russia and a huge metropolis, Moscow offers a plethora of different types of accommodations. Many renowned hotel chains are represented in the city, and some of its hotels rank among the world's most luxurious and expensive. Those traveling on a more modest budget can choose among the boutique or Soviet-era hotels. There are also numerous hostels and short-term rental apartments throughout the city. When choosing a place to stay, especially if you're only planning for a short visit, always bear in mind the size of Moscow. Staying too far from the center might mean that the precious time you could spend on sightseeing will be wasted in traffic and transport.
