  • Every day passing on the new Arbat-I go to my favorite bookstore Moscow House of books, watching a movie in October and clip the spring. After reconstruction Kalininsky Prospekt became purer, more spacious, but somehow cold and uncomfortable. Park on the even side of the forbidden, trendy cafes have closed, leaving only fastfoods and a huge food court on the former site of the Snowstorm and the solid stores. So the new Arbat street with each new Governor loses its charm 70s.

  • In Moscow I was staying at a hundred meters away, which I walked over. Absolutely great in size, with buildings looking equally grandiose, but ... very little. Residences, cinemas, shops not hip, some bar and restaurant. An important road axis radiating from the Centre westward road right of way, not to visit.

  • Someone wrote about plug-in jaw, but this is no longer our folk. This "joke" from the Italian capital about their masterpieces. Remember well the Novy Arbat street Kalinin prospect as and does not otherwise. Of course sorry for historical buildings, "dog pad" and other iconic places .... And who (these) seen in live? Moscow in those years actively built and need for end-to-end and a wide Avenue was necessary in Moscow-the capital city and certainly not as with all respect neither the Prague and Tallinn. Space needed. And yes arkhitektorov idea those Soviet years, admittedly, was not bad. Paradny façade of the city, where on the first floor were iconic stores ("lilac", "Melody", etc.) Novoarbatskij deli a few trendy cafes and the famous restaurant "Arbat". Have something to remember. prilizali Novy Arbat now expanded ... Yes is good so far, no doubt, but the charm of 70-s he unfortunately lost.
