Where to stay in Moscow

The capital of Russia and a huge metropolis, Moscow offers a plethora of different types of accommodations. Many renowned hotel chains are represented in the city, and some of its hotels rank among the world's most luxurious and expensive. Those traveling on a more modest budget can choose among the boutique or Soviet-era hotels. There are also numerous hostels and short-term rental apartments throughout the city. When choosing a place to stay, especially if you're only planning for a short visit, always bear in mind the size of Moscow. Staying too far from the center might mean that the precious time you could spend on sightseeing will be wasted in traffic and transport.

  • The so-called Railway Museum near the paveletzsky station outdoor station, Regis Kaya vehicle exhibits different, subdued but relaxed seen indoors. Secluded walking minutes on Google maps, which was actually out the Paveletskaya Metro station and go to the right of the right hand side has a splendid gate. Relief of a huge face of replica reproduction of the elegant train travelled the nobility and Trans-Siberian railway vehicles, engines, and Lenin and images are found, many exhibits are not. Regis Kaya station was actually used in the Interior is not kept intact remains, both look good. Model limited express train, the sapsan train is like, so was disappointed. Women in charge was very helpful. By the way, was our family visitors.

  • In fact, Russian railways chose yourself the perfect place in the departmental Museum. Until 1992 it was Museum is a branch of the Central Museum "Lenin Funeral train of v. i. Lenin", which received its name because it is located in the mourning train (locomotive U127 and baggage wagon No. 1691), which in 1924 g. delivered in Lenin's body Moscow (dominating the composition element). Is an object of cultural heritage of federal importance. This building, located near paveletsky railway station, commissioned in 1980 to the 110-th anniversary of the leader of the world proletariat. And in 2000-e passed into the ownership of RUSSIAN RAILWAYS and renovated. The main entrance to the Museum retains the characteristics of a solemn ceremonial arches in the style of modern arch, decorated with flags. After the entrance there is a very nice, well-kept garden with walkway. The exposition of the Museum represents the history of the development of Russian railways in the most general terms. The custodian also said that there are branches of the Museum at the Riga railway station (this is the so-called Playground full-scale specimens) and in the suburbs at station Red Baltiets.

  • interesting railroad museum. recommended for railroad fans
  • Nice and interesting place, but small
  • Nice but quite a tiny Museum. Children up to 6 years old is unlikely to be interesting because of the full-size trains presented only the so-called Funeral train.

  • It is a pity that the tours for 2-3 persons do not hold. Walk with children often. Learn yourself)
