  • Entrance is free of charge. Works very voluble guide tells exciting, though not quite Orthodox canons. But interesting! Exposure-4 floors. There is a lift. All very friendly (Museum staff). Liked it very much!

  • Go to this Museum regularly-I icon painter. On my d/r came with his family, they are far from art and, a fortiori, iconography, but really everyone is happy, the son wanted to come again!

  • Visiting the Museum is not planned, just walked in the Center and passed. From taganskaya Street Pottery to go minutes 8. Decided to take a peek. The Museum turned out to be free. We should logon to inscribe their names on the book, dress boots, undress, and hand in the locker room backpack (cell). In Tuesday, with virtually none of the afternoon there were no visitors. Many exhibits on several floors. Descriptions of the halls there. That is better of course with a guide, the more it hosts regular themed tours. Will definitely be back.

  • The best place
  • the first in Moscow and Russia's second private Museum of Russian icons. Established at the initiative of entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael Abramova. Opened in May 2006 in Moscow. Currently, the Museum is located in the Centre of Moscow on The Street. Collection numbers about 5000 units of storage. The Museum exists only on the means of its founder and does not conduct any commercial activity: visiting, excursions, lectures and concerts are held exclusively on a complimentary basis.

  • An excellent Museum, a huge thanks to its creator, this philanthropist! Great collection, great excursions from caring people. Very interesting and informative for those who care about the arts, and the section about Ethiopia generally offers rare material, extremely curious. Well done!

Where to stay in Moscow

The capital of Russia and a huge metropolis, Moscow offers a plethora of different types of accommodations. Many renowned hotel chains are represented in the city, and some of its hotels rank among the world's most luxurious and expensive. Those traveling on a more modest budget can choose among the boutique or Soviet-era hotels. There are also numerous hostels and short-term rental apartments throughout the city. When choosing a place to stay, especially if you're only planning for a short visit, always bear in mind the size of Moscow. Staying too far from the center might mean that the precious time you could spend on sightseeing will be wasted in traffic and transport.
