Where to stay in Moscow

The capital of Russia and a huge metropolis, Moscow offers a plethora of different types of accommodations. Many renowned hotel chains are represented in the city, and some of its hotels rank among the world's most luxurious and expensive. Those traveling on a more modest budget can choose among the boutique or Soviet-era hotels. There are also numerous hostels and short-term rental apartments throughout the city. When choosing a place to stay, especially if you're only planning for a short visit, always bear in mind the size of Moscow. Staying too far from the center might mean that the precious time you could spend on sightseeing will be wasted in traffic and transport.

  • The museum is a hidden gem in the Olympic Village area. We had a difficult time finding the museum because we didn't have the complete street address. The layout of the exhibits are set up in such a m...  more »
  • Was guided by a group of schoolchildren. For the first time. Exposition me impressed. We children as if were in a different era. Rooms are not big, but very thought out. For the tour we crossed with any group, although I know that it was 4 tours. Everything is accessible, understandable. After the tour I have only one question: How do people manage to survive the war years? This museum-piece of the war, but left in me a huge footprint. I want to go again. Tickets are available. For adults-$ 14.95 There's a family trip-1600r. I would like to say thank you for the Guide. A middle-aged man, but managed to organize children that we didn't notice the time. It was an interactive tour. Photographing was free. I advise to visit! The recommended age for children over the age of 9 years.

  • A very good Museum. Exposure may not be very rich, but it is quite sufficient to get an idea about the major milestones of one of the principial'nejshih battles of the great patriotic war and meet with heavy life Muscovites at the time. Most of the information presented on the stands in the form of letters, documents and photographs (not so interesting to younger pupils), but there are several installations that may interest children. You can download the audio guide for the application Izi.Travel. Audio guide will be particularly useful for standing on the street in front of the Museum with samples of military equipment (completely free).
