Where to stay in Moscow

The capital of Russia and a huge metropolis, Moscow offers a plethora of different types of accommodations. Many renowned hotel chains are represented in the city, and some of its hotels rank among the world's most luxurious and expensive. Those traveling on a more modest budget can choose among the boutique or Soviet-era hotels. There are also numerous hostels and short-term rental apartments throughout the city. When choosing a place to stay, especially if you're only planning for a short visit, always bear in mind the size of Moscow. Staying too far from the center might mean that the precious time you could spend on sightseeing will be wasted in traffic and transport.

  • This is a true Castle in the city centre next to the Patriarchal ponds! I always knew this building as a House of tricks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rossi! Architecture and its exterior is impressive, it is a pity that you cannot get inside, remains content with beautiful interiors only in photographs!

  • House w. G. Morozova, built on 2,500 f. Shekhtel Savva Morozov for the neogotichesom style is quite unconventional for Moscow structure. So, actually, and interesting. By type-a real castle. Is the 2-steps from the patriarshiye ponds in a quiet and respectable area (next to the former status of yellow brick house, where lived the Soviet "Luzhkov" V.v. Grishin). Unfortunately, all this beauty can be viewed exclusively through a fence, because here is the House of tricks, where FOREIGN MINISTRY signed a number of important international treaties, as there is information in the form of decals on the fence.

  • Architect Fyodor Shekhtel designed this House to Savva Morozov in the neo-Gothic style. After the death of the owner, his widow sold the House to Rjabushinskomu. Now here is the home of the Russian MFA techniques. Therefore, you can view only the façade by Spiridonovki, which once was called St. Alexey Tolstoy. The House is striking in its beauty and perfect proportions. There is a legend that this House is mentioned in the novel of Mikhail Bulgakov's "master and Margarita".
