Izmailovsky Park, Moscow

4.2
#9 of 80 in Parks in Moscow
Bike, rollerskate, go horseback riding, or rent a boat and sail across one of the many ponds at Izmailovsky Park. Originally designed as a model economy by Tsar Aleksei Mikhailovich in the early 1600s, the park housed more than 700 peasant families. The numerous manmade ponds, as well as one of the main attractions of the park--the Pokhorovosky Cathedral on Silver Island--were completed in 1679. Ride one of two large Ferris wheels, rent skis and skates seasonally, and explore the adjacent artisan market. The park is easily accessible via public transportation, and public restrooms are available for a fee. Highly recommended visit to the so-called second Kremlin, or Kremlin white. In the find a recreation of traditional Russian architecture and the Soviet era, as well as several entertaining museums, an Orthodox Church that allow access and a myriad of entertainment more type restaurants, etc. Nestled in the same Kremlin, a huge flea market is located with everything you can imagine. I recommend that you do here shopping type Matriuskas, samovars, military, both Soviet objects of the PC, leather garments, slippers woven by Uzbek women, jewels, ornaments... All much cheaper than in the shops of Moscu.al side there is a lake and parkland which apparently the moscovias used as picnic area. In general, it's all a bit impaired, but worth a go. Metro leaves you practically to the side and between the metro and the Park, you find some huge and shriveled hotels in Soviet times, worthy of seeing.

Izmaylovsky Park of culture and rest every time produces more and more enjoyable! Sea activities: several amusement parks-for kids and those who are older. Two of the Ferris wheel. Rent of boats and catamarans. Kiosks with water, food, ice cream and vending machines. There are fixed toilets. Bicycle rentals, of velomobiles, and even God knows what-in different parts of the Park. Neat shorn lawns-where you can just soak up the Sun in the heat. Beautiful flowerbeds. There is a possibility to take a walk in the Centre of the "people", as well as privacy in lesochke. On weekends (and not only) all the time any activities, programs, master classes, performances, training. You can find out in advance at the Park site that expects, and you can come and unexpectedly stumble upon presentation of the Orchestra. The Park has many very friendly squirrels. Always come here with pleasure. Izmaylovsky Park-located on Park and stretches almost to the ring road is essentially forest, but with the beaten and even zaasfaltirovannymi. Activities, food and water there is. Go, if you really want to break away from the city. Tracks long, and not always clear-where you are, and when you come somewhere. You can slightly lost. An ideal place for cycling. Izmaylovsky skeleton-atmospheric place. Good to go to enjoy nature, silence and energy water. Although there are many people-but it's more likely to be less active than PKiO. Near the big church and Manor. A lot of shops where you can just enjoy the atmosphere. On the other side there is a hire of boats-space here for driving on them much more than PKiO because the pond around the island significantly protjazhennee.

Where to stay in Moscow

The capital of Russia and a huge metropolis, Moscow offers a plethora of different types of accommodations. Many renowned hotel chains are represented in the city, and some of its hotels rank among the world's most luxurious and expensive. Those traveling on a more modest budget can choose among the boutique or Soviet-era hotels. There are also numerous hostels and short-term rental apartments throughout the city. When choosing a place to stay, especially if you're only planning for a short visit, always bear in mind the size of Moscow. Staying too far from the center might mean that the precious time you could spend on sightseeing will be wasted in traffic and transport.
