Izmailovsky Park, Moscow
(4.1/5 based on 280 reviews on the web)
Bike, rollerskate, go horseback riding, or rent a boat and sail across one of the many ponds at Izmailovsky Park. Originally designed as a model economy by Tsar Aleksei Mikhailovich in the early 1600s, the park housed more than 700 peasant families. The numerous manmade ponds, as well as one of the main attractions of the park--the Pokhorovosky Cathedral on Silver Island--were completed in 1679. Ride one of two large Ferris wheels, rent skis and skates seasonally, and explore the adjacent artisan market. The park is easily accessible via public transportation, and public restrooms are available for a fee. By using our Moscow vacation planner, you can arrange your visit to Izmailovsky Park and other attractions in Moscow.

  • Pros: an unusual architecture, colourful, fabulousness buildings. You can take photos. Sometimes there are filmed movie and look very interesting. Really like shopping malls with Misc.. You can buy interesting souvenirs or something from the retro stuff! We there are many bought to decorate suburban home and gifts for friends. Cons: Dirt on site! On the way from Metro General gloom!! In the shops-all about-very expensive, in the end, they are half-empty. Master classes too expensive, although there was not anything special. Would like to see the souvenirs were designed not only to foreigners but also to local residents.

  • The rink is nice consists of two parts: a large portion with ordinary ice and less artificial. Ice condition very good, were on a weekday afternoon, people very little. A café, you can enjoy a coffee and a snack. The only drawback is that the cashier does not know the rules of visitation. Or rather, that there is life for pensioners discount 30%.
