Izmailovsky Park, Moscow

(4.1/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
Bike, rollerskate, go horseback riding, or rent a boat and sail across one of the many ponds at Izmailovsky Park. Originally designed as a model economy by Tsar Aleksei Mikhailovich in the early 1600s, the park housed more than 700 peasant families. The numerous manmade ponds, as well as one of the main attractions of the park--the Pokhorovosky Cathedral on Silver Island--were completed in 1679. Ride one of two large Ferris wheels, rent skis and skates seasonally, and explore the adjacent artisan market. The park is easily accessible via public transportation, and public restrooms are available for a fee. • I really enjoyed hanging out in the Park! A Russian Disneyland feeling that you got to a page of tales of Pushkin all the buildings bright, colorful, manicured. The park itself is clean and trash cans, everywhere there are benches for rest. Many stalls where you can eat pancakes with hot tea and coffee, in the summer I think selling ice cream and cotton candy. There is a full cafeteria. Entertainment here is missing! You can even split a few walks, although a small park to all the detail work around. Many master classes associated with the popular crafts typical of our nation (for foreigners I think it will be especially interesting). A bunch of museums (chocolate; Russian vodka-more describe the feedback about the museum itself; animations; toys) with inexpensive tickets from 120-250 rub. There are discounts for children, students and Muscovites. Entrance to the park itself is free. Next big market with souvenirs at a much lower price than in the city, in the same style, but in poor condition (all long would have to paint). Definitely worth Park!

  • Park visited this weekend-March 11. The car left in the parking lot at the Park-100 rubles (time, as I understood it is limited only by the time parking). While the Park is quiet and you will be blackened snowdrifts, some tracks are covered in snow with with Frost-that time of year)), individual and comfortable tracks cleared and dry, so the Park already have cyclists and other active customers on all myslemyh and nemyslemyh vehicles, while their little)) Cleared comfortable equipped playground for sports in the open air and wishing to work out too eat, so-welcome-do not get bored. Saw one working bike rental. Toilets traditionally clean and free (toilet paper take with them from home)). In 10-30 am not seen catering workers (but we are not out of the main entrance). The air is fresh and clear. The walk was a success, the mood turned up))

  • I love this park! Large, spacious. There is a Ferris wheel (view from it so-so, but for romantic walks very cute entertainment), a pond where you can go for a swim in the boat with the pink light of the sunset, there are machines with sweet wool and other Park vkusnjashkami for children-trampolines, entertainment. Close to the Park, the station partizanskaya-Kremlin in Izmaylovo. You can combine trips. The area of the Park very big-it is a paradise for cycling, walking, rollerblading, etc.
