Hermitage Garden, Moscow

(4.3/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Escape the bustle of the city's busy streets and immerse yourself in the culture scene at Hermitage Garden. Established near the end of the 19th century, the park has a long history as one of the capital's main artistic hubs: the likes of Rachmaninoff, Chaliapin, and Sarah Bernhardt all performed on the open-air stage here. Today, the park often hosts various art exhibits and live performances, and boasts no fewer than three theaters on its grounds. Take time to go for a walk, sit on a bench, or ice skate in winter. Amenities include a play area for kids, a restaurant, and restrooms. Put Hermitage Garden into our Moscow itinerary planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Moscow.

  • Visited on a bright sunny day in April. Ok! Of course, secluded villages on this "patch" in the center of Moscow will not find, but you can find your relaxation. Sculpture, walking the audience pleased Muscovites and guests of the capital, located in the lounge chairs from Cafe "22.88" at the spring sunshine. Pleasant Township.

  • This is one of my favorite parks in Moscow, in addition to the wonderful playground garden is famous for its diverse cultural activities that take place outdoors in the summer. Recently in the Golden mask theatre festival was performance. See photo. There is also an amazing Theatre Sphere, which I also recommend everyone to visit at least once. We watched the spectacle here explanation of Raskas stories Shukshina. A pitch of this theater is perfectly suited for this setting. Come will not regret.

  • Really enjoyed the walk, although it was not the best weather, quite windy and cold. Back in the spring.

  • I like this park, it's really comfortable to have a lil chill out. But there are two things that I don't like about it. 1) there's a big cage with squirrels in the center of the children playground. Children scream and cry and I think that it's inhumane to keep squirrels there. They must live freely in the park. 2) there's no food for vegans, all food in the park is maid with meet, eggs or dairy. If you are intolerant allergic - that's a problem. For vegetarians the choice is limited, so better take something with you and maybe it could be a nice idea to have a picnic
  • A nice little park with an ice rink during winter, a theater, and restaurants
  • quite and green garden in the middle of the city - one of the few left
  • Small good park in city center. There is a cafe inside and a theater
  • There was a large and beautiful fireworks on New Year
