Nature / Park
Escape the bustle of the city's busy streets and immerse yourself in the culture scene at Hermitage Garden. Established near the end of the 19th century, the park has a long history as one of the capital's main artistic hubs: the likes of Rachmaninoff, Chaliapin, and Sarah Bernhardt all performed on the open-air stage here. Today, the park often hosts various art exhibits and live performances, and boasts no fewer than three theaters on its grounds. Take time to go for a walk, sit on a bench, or ice skate in winter. Amenities include a play area for kids, a restaurant, and restrooms. Put Hermitage Garden into our Moscow itinerary planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Moscow.

Walked around the Center and decided to visit this small park, hiding from people. Was here a third time and with my every visit I notice something new in this place. I am glad that the Hermitage garden looks very nice, a lot of greenery, flowers, inviting hammocks, plenty of benches, and children just paradise-in this huge playground in the heart of the Park, I think every child fall in love. So this place is perfect for a romantic outing, and for hanging out with friends or with children.

Were at the Festival of Indonesian culture. Garden transformed, in the gazebo wedding demonstration, with detailed commentary, on the open stage could see national dances, martial arts. The territory is divided into zones-tents with souvenirs, traditional coffee, sweets, designer clothes, but it was also possible to enroll in a master class, familiarize yourself with diving, tourism. Sellers Indonesians polite, friendly. Thanks to the organizers for the atmosphere and the feeling of holiday-holiday)

Very cute couple-garden in the center of Moscow. Here is a nice walk and relax in a lovely day. There are many pleasant cafes and restaurants

  • Crowdy, noisy but very beautiful and cozy place.
  • I like this park, it's really comfortable to have a lil chill out. But there are two things that I don't like about it. 1) there's a big cage with squirrels in the center of the children playground. Children scream and cry and I think that it's inhumane to keep squirrels there. They must live freely in the park. 2) there's no food for vegans, all food in the park is maid with meet, eggs or dairy. If you are intolerant allergic - that's a problem. For vegetarians the choice is limited, so better take something with you and maybe it could be a nice idea to have a picnic
  • A nice little park with an ice rink during winter, a theater, and restaurants
  • Small good park in city center. There is a cafe inside and a theater
  • quite and green garden in the middle of the city - one of the few left

Where to stay in Moscow

The capital of Russia and a huge metropolis, Moscow offers a plethora of different types of accommodations. Many renowned hotel chains are represented in the city, and some of its hotels rank among the world's most luxurious and expensive. Those traveling on a more modest budget can choose among the boutique or Soviet-era hotels. There are also numerous hostels and short-term rental apartments throughout the city. When choosing a place to stay, especially if you're only planning for a short visit, always bear in mind the size of Moscow. Staying too far from the center might mean that the precious time you could spend on sightseeing will be wasted in traffic and transport.
