(180+ reviews on the web)
Nature / Park
Escape the bustle of the city's busy streets and immerse yourself in the culture scene at Hermitage Garden. Established near the end of the 19th century, the park has a long history as one of the capital's main artistic hubs: the likes of Rachmaninoff, Chaliapin, and Sarah Bernhardt all performed on the open-air stage here. Today, the park often hosts various art exhibits and live performances, and boasts no fewer than three theaters on its grounds. Take time to go for a walk, sit on a bench, or ice skate in winter. Amenities include a play area for kids, a restaurant, and restrooms. Put Hermitage Garden into our Moscow itinerary planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Moscow.

  • What a wonderful use of space in a small park. Clean, safe, family friendly paths, grass spaces (with signs saying 'walk on the grass'!), benches, fountains, tree groves, play areas, art-house cinema ...  more »
  • Opened in 1894, this picture-perfect park is totally worth a visit. It isn't overwhelming space-wise to walk around, quiet and very clean. The policy of not walking/sitting on the grass extends to all...  more »

  • I like this park, it's really comfortable to have a lil chill out. But there are two things that I don't like about it. 1) there's a big cage with squirrels in the center of the children playground. Children scream and cry and I think that it's inhumane to keep squirrels there. They must live freely in the park. 2) there's no food for vegans, all food in the park is maid with meet, eggs or dairy. If you are intolerant allergic - that's a problem. For vegetarians the choice is limited, so better take something with you and maybe it could be a nice idea to have a picnic
  • A nice little park with an ice rink during winter, a theater, and restaurants
  • quite and green garden in the middle of the city - one of the few left
  • Small good park in city center. There is a cafe inside and a theater
  • There was a large and beautiful fireworks on New Year
