Hermitage Garden, Moscow
(4.1/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
Escape the bustle of the city's busy streets and immerse yourself in the culture scene at Hermitage Garden. Established near the end of the 19th century, the park has a long history as one of the capital's main artistic hubs: the likes of Rachmaninoff, Chaliapin, and Sarah Bernhardt all performed on the open-air stage here. Today, the park often hosts various art exhibits and live performances, and boasts no fewer than three theaters on its grounds. Take time to go for a walk, sit on a bench, or ice skate in winter. Amenities include a play area for kids, a restaurant, and restrooms. Put Hermitage Garden into our Moscow itinerary planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Moscow.

  • The Ermitage Park, albeit small, hides real treasures. Is unknown by most tourists. In fact, most beautiful Russian parks and other wonderful attractions Muscovites is unknown for 99% of the tourists, who only make the traditional tourist circuits. And really lose the best of Moscow. The city publishes very badly, the tourist information are precarious, if we take into consideration the size of the city. This Park has a wonderful garden, and features a lot of exhibitions every week. There are three theaters, an outdoor stage, a large children's playground in the shade, good restaurants with terrace and outdoor loungers, ice cream kiosks and cafes. The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant "Food Bazaar" is the highlight of the site! There is a small very cozy Greek restaurant on site. This Park is very popular with locals. The nearest subway station is "Chekovskaya", and takes about 15 minutes to walk to the Park, but the way there is very beautiful, full of beautiful squares. There are buses which pass near Park Avenue (at Kariétnuy Riád). I took the bus 3 next to the Metro station Dmitraviskaya (line Gray-Northwest-outside of the ring) and arrived at the Ermitage in twenty minutes. They say there's an ice-skating rink in the winter.

  • In the Centre of the issue, where to walk with children. In this garden admission is free, parents have the ability to sit quietly on a bench while children clamber on all sorts of slides and swings. Large playground with a coating, which is not dangerous to fall. Here in the building housed mugs for out-of-school learning. In the garden in summer, fountain works many flowering plants. Local food I have not tried, but some cafes here exist. Walk to and from the garden you can "Chekhov", and from "Colored" Boulevard. Refreshing the entry into its territory is placed in front of the famous quads "Petrovka 38".
