  • Very unusual architecture of the Church, very original and beautiful. If you walk down the street and Solzhenitsyn, the Church grows as if from under the ground. This whole majestic and beautiful.

  • Temple built more than five centuries ago, and its name in honor of St. Martin the Confessor, the Pope, who lived in the seventh century owes one historical event-namely, the visit of the Papal envoy to Vasily III. Russian Tsar thus decided to make a gesture towards the Roman throne, calling the Temple in honour of very honored in the Catholic World, which also honored and orthodoxy. Characteristically, the temple during his visit to Moscow he attended the Austrian Emperor Joseph II (1780), in 1812 Napoleonic Marshal g. Murat, during the occupation of Moscow, also visited here and appalled by the architectural splendor of the temple, put up protection against looters. And it is here, in the Church of St. Martin the Confessor was the first letter of the divine service after Moscow in 1812, Napoleon's troops. Perhaps not everyone knows these historical facts about the temple. But he is widely known as the Muscovites and guests of the capital as fertile and namolennoe place. First of all, thanks to those great shrines of orthodoxy, which is stored in this amazingly beautiful and spacious Temple-miraculous list of Georgian mother of God icon, relics of many saints and martyrs, in particular, of St. Seraphim of Sarov and, of course, relics and funerary sračice (shirt) blessed Matrona of Moscow. In the temple is normally always quiet and not crowded. There is God's grace.

  • Love this temple. I work nearby, so sometimes I go in the afternoon to relax and switch to-day almost no one. Just unusual heat fluxes and tranquillity envelops me there. The inside is very nice and roomy, there are benches (seating) and Christian shop where you can purchase the necessary attributes for donations.
