  • Only in Soviet times, the Catholic Church in Moscow is located in close proximity to Lubyanka square. For a long time in the Temple it was very cold in the winter, but you now have autonomous heating. Inside the temple is aesthetically almost perfect-whitewashed walls, columns. Of course, the sculptures it mass production, but this does not detract from the artistic merit decoration. True, the original species is short-if you compare with old photographs, where visible pulpit sermons with stairs and pre-reform altar. Better check before visiting the site, open the Temple-in addition to the time of the masses he opened not so often.

  • As far as I remember, this is one of the 3 three Catholic churches in Moscow. Is in the city centre, not far from the building of the NKVD of the Soviet time at Lubyanka. The building, in spite of its simplicity, has clear classical forms. To the left of the entrance on the wall of the building hangs a plaque with the inscription: "a monument of architecture founded in 1849 year. Architect Fyodor Schechtel. " Unfortunately could not go inside. It turned out the temple, unlike the Orthodox, is open only during masses and prayer services. Trawled through the territory. The temple grounds also include standing right: old people home with the Sundial on the wall and a library (apparently later construction).
