  • Stopped here after Verhotur'ja, and were very pleasantly surprised! Hit as in paradise! Complete peace of mind. Purity. Feeling of kindness everywhere. The friendly nuns. The Cathedral, though young but inspires respect. Big, beautiful. Behind him is a wonderful view of the river. It would be closer to Ekaterinburg, Terminus would be here more often.

  • Once opened for themselves, there were only Verhoturskogo Simeon one desire to visit the Holy places. From Khanty-Mansiysk we drove up to 10:00 Verhotur'ja. The first thing we visited is a compound of Novo-Tikhvin female monastery in Merkushino. Wonderful sisters in the monastery! Especially we would like to thank sister Philadelphia! Sincere, kind, the love she was telling us about the shrines of the monastery! May God give you all good health! Return other people.

  • Very famous place in Sverdlovsk region, located near the town of Verhotur'ja. You can get either on its own or with a guided tour. Unfortunately, as in Verkhoturye, buses to Merkushino or do not go, or go very rarely. The drive is very nice, you can enjoy beautiful views, visit wooden church near Merkushino, built next to the stone, which loved to fish Simeon Verhotursky. The Temple in Merkushino has not made a strong impression. His recently restored, it now feels not so much grace, how much plaque money.
