Kungurskaya Cave, Kungur

Explore Kungurskaya Cave, famous for its labyrinths, 20 grottoes, 70 underground lakes, and, most of all, 120 different ice formations. The cave has been known since 1703. Visit the narrow path where a princess once fell and then married after she returned home. Since then, legend has held that if a woman falls on this road, she will marry soon after. Admire the brilliant snow crystals in the Diamond and the Polar grottoes. Don't miss the Ethereal grotto, which features well-like holes formed by water droplets. Kungurskaya Cave is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Kungur Edition.

  • The long-planned visit here had the opportunity to purchase a two-day excursion from Tyumen. We were lucky, we had a great tour guide and tour was a large trail of Khlebnikov. Very exciting and interesting and telling, showed the trail was hard to passable. Really enjoyed the big lake and the first two rooms. The excursion lasted for two hours, beginning this excursion in 6:00 pm.

  • Chic cave that should be freely available to everyone! But sly Administration made guides required and therefore chargeable. Visit the stands of course, but not pleasant deception:)

  • My husband and I were here for the third time. Came with friends on new year's holidays. A place with a very beautiful nature and sufficient infrastructure in the territory: there is a hotel, a wooden town Cafe. Have been on trips with a laser show. Very good:) 5-year-old daughter, too, was ecstatic. Guides are always very interesting and informative talk about this place by a long and confusing paths from one cave Grotto to another. The first two visits to the cave on may holidays and experiences many more grottoes decoration elegant, in view of the fact that the body is covered with Frost and snow in a fairy tale, and the Lake is already overburdened and not thawn ice. Beside the entrance to the cave are souvenir shops where you can buy souvenirs for every taste, as well as a lot of jewelry made from natural stones.
