Admire the artistic composition and view the depiction of the city's earliest history at Monument to Catherine the Great. The monument celebrates the empress and her grant of the Kuban area, together with the newly founded city, to the Cossacks. During that time the city was known as Yekaterinodar, or Catherine's Gift. The name stood until the Communist Revolution, when it was changed and the monument was taken down. Now fully restored, the attraction represents the statue of Catherine on a marble pillar, presenting the gift charter to the Cossacks. • Good afternoon! In mid-December was in Krasnodar. Having all finish at work, decided to take a stroll to Krasnodar. Walked on central street and stumbled upon a monument to Catherine. Really enjoyed

  • Monument to Ekaterina the second installed in the Catherine Park, which is considered to be the founding place of Krasnodar. Depicts donation Decree, which Catherine conferred upon Land Krasnodar Cossacks for their military services. The former name of the city-Ekaterinodar. Next to Catherine depicted the first Cossack Ataman and companion Potemkin. View of the Empress is aimed at the building of the Legislative Assembly. Very beautiful monument and causes a lot of emotions.
