  • If it hadn't traveled to Kolomna, didn't know about this interesting object as shevljaginskaja bassejka. And this is nothing like standpipe Kolomenskoye. And acting! And I want to share an interesting history of this unusual object. In the year 1902 in Leicester was built first in Moscow Gubernia plumbing with artesian water. Residents receive water not from our usual columns and special water towers, called "kolomchanami bassejkami". Since the construction of a water supply system fully funded gratis Maria Nikolaevna Shevljagina, the daughter of a wealthy merchant of Kolomenskoye, unsurprisingly, bassejki were called "shevljaginskih". In 6 was installed water taps. Everyone could take water for free, although the operation of the aqueduct cost in 10 thousand rubles per year. 1,000 was taken from the city budget, a thousand with the owners of those homes where water (already then had water meters, locating fluid intake!) and 8 thousand gave Maria Nikolaevna Shevljagina. Over time, the "shevljaginskie bassejki" were dismantled. But in 20013,. IBO "Town-Museum" with the support of the administration of the urban district of Kolomna and the State Enterprise "Mosavtotrans" has restored one of them on the main residence area where five streets converge, therefore it is also called the five corners square, and earlier-Dairy. When the idea was born to restore unique kolomensky vodokolonku, enthusiasts were only pictures. They were absolutely impossible to discern the complex picture embossed on the walls of octahedral columns. Then decided to excavate in the place where previously installed column-and luckily found one of the surviving walls. Opening of the monument took place on April 18, 2013 year. The column opened the same scenario as it was a hundred years ago, when opened the kolomensky aqueduct. A prayer service was held, water was consecrated. Importantly, the standpipe is not layout and not fake. It operates and is connected to the municipal water mains. The water that flows from it can and was intended to be used as drinking.

  • Walked around, read the inscription, but really did not understand for what this device was installed in the city. You may have more luck!
