  • My Bulgarian friends have said that on the territory of the monastery can fit all the monasteries in Bulgaria, they struck the power, beauty and spirit of Russian bogatyrstva. in the summer, were bathed in the Lake, the weather was wonderful.

  • Last summer were in the monastery went fine but slightly obstructed the preparations for the Festival, now in February, everything was quiet, walked around and saw that I wanted. Kirilov is very beautiful in winter on a sunny day. Ferapontov monastery even more beautiful, on a hill with a live stream on the same day, and some handsome Goritsky)))

  • I arrived at the monastery waterway. The boat docked in a small village called Goritsy which is of Kirillov near 15 km. Villages that also has a small monastery currently in the works but has some historical weight at the time of Ivan "the terrible". The Kirillo-Belozerki monastery, initially small wooden gone extending over several times with greater weight in the history of the country and is now almost a fortification near the Lake Siverskoye. An imposing wall with several towers, surrounds the religious complex with 11 churches, some of which are flyable but not the best I see in Russia. The room impresses above all by size and by history. A tiny Museum with some crafts. Take advantage and buy and eat red fruits sold either at anchorage of Goritsy, either at the entrance to the monastery.
