  • Despite the typical name, which implies that the Museum has scientific direction, this Museum will be interesting for everyone and those who want to learn about the Earth, oil, gas and mining. There is a lot of information about people-geologists, builders. In the Museum it is possible and necessary to go with children, because the exposition is built so that even the most complex questions showing very clear. The Museum does not yet have a permanent exhibition-but there are several great replacement exhibitions. I liked the exhibition about the great patriotic war-and not only because the perspective taken is not quite standard (actually, emphasis is placed on the contribution to the victory of geologists, but not only). The story of the Khanty-Mansjske and development of the oil industry in the region, touching and informative. Like how specialists work with the exhibit and museum space: in the halls freely, a lot of air, light, each exhibit filed so that it would be desirable to consider. Particular praise is deserved an unusual museum building plan, divisions into zones, there is a recreation area.

  • Permanent exhibition or not, but the Museum's pride. Very interesting exhibitions of gems and lots of projects. What are meteorites!

  • I liked the Museum. Not too busy. Do not get tired of endlessly wander the halls. All in moderation. Interesting mineral specimens, has impressive size. On the ground floor you can "touch" oil. Of course wearing rubber gloves, but be careful, your hands will smell anyway.
