The Bridge Across the River Amur, Khabarovsk

(190+ reviews on the web)
Bridge Landmark
Drive along The Bridge Across the River Amur to capture panoramic views of the city and visit the museum with a preserved section of the original bridge. Built in 1916 to carry the Trans-Siberian Railway across the river, most of the original bridge was destroyed by the Red Army during the Russian Civil War. The current version, dating from 1999, is depicted on the 5000 Russian ruble bank note. Note that cars cannot stop on the bridge to take pictures, so be sure to take plenty of photos near the structure before and after driving across it. Make The Bridge Across the River Amur a centerpiece of your Khabarovsk vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Khabarovsk itinerary maker.

  • Quite far from downtown and with nothing on the other side to justify the drive. Roadway and railroad bridges are close to each other so the view is nice.  more »
  • I suppose that the people here are insanely proud of their bridge and its place in history, but, at the end of the day, it is a bridge. Now what?  more »
