The Bridge Across the River Amur, Khabarovsk

4.1
Drive along The Bridge Across the River Amur to capture panoramic views of the city and visit the museum with a preserved section of the original bridge. Built in 1916 to carry the Trans-Siberian Railway across the river, most of the original bridge was destroyed by the Red Army during the Russian Civil War. The current version, dating from 1999, is depicted on the 5000 Russian ruble bank note. Note that cars cannot stop on the bridge to take pictures, so be sure to take plenty of photos near the structure before and after driving across it. • Picture of the bridge known to all Russians than the city itself. high product engineering. even during the flood "sea Tigers" 2013 year with this bridge nothing happened. quite beautiful. unusual two-storey if you are by car, you don't notice that you are pulling hundreds of electric cars. Without seeing and passing over the bridge you can feel that you have not been in Khabarovsk

  • We went to the taxi ride from the railway station in about 30 minutes, there were about 200 p. The only place where a good review on this bridge with the Museum of the history of the building of Amur bridge. But! Mode of operation the Museum quite peculiar, so be sure to make dinner reservations in advance. In our case, the Museum was closed, the Museum also respectively, we had to dirty footpath Museum crawl from bushes and look at the greatness of the bridge and make a photo.

  • Bridge over the Amur River is known for the majority of the Russian population on the image at 5000 banknote. Bridge admires. Tour not there and back is a must! And, of course, take pictures. The Museum is situated next to the bridge. Also interesting to visit

Where to stay in Khabarovsk

A scenic multicultural center on the Amur River, Khabarovsk offers different types of accommodation, but the selection of hotels is somewhat limited. While you can find several centrally located luxury hotels, with full amenities and prices to match, for more budget-friendly options you will have to venture further away from the center. However, there are numerous hostels and bed and breakfasts close to the Amur shore and the train station, which can be a good choice for budget travelers. If you're looking to immerse yourself in natural surroundings, look for a good selection of pensions and smaller hotels just outside the city limits.
