A tall bronze statue of Lenin overlooks the square from the back, and people still bring fresh flowers to place at the statue. Formerly the site of a cemetery, the area was cleared in the 1890s by decree of the Amur governor to make it suitable for military parades. Today, most of the town festivities take place at the square, including New Year's celebrations and wedding parties. Newlyweds come to the square to be photographed by the fountain during weekends. To the central square of the city is VERY weak. Gray, pale, non-living. Everywhere nagadili doves. Brand new not quietly because of numerous skaters and cyclists, whether they're not ladny.

You can not go to the Museum or cinema, but to visit the area are obliged to all! Especially at night when lit fountains and other lights. Ploshchad Lenina is undoubtedly one of the sights of the city! There are several nearby fast-food restaurants, boutiques and parks.

Lenin square-a place for every resident of Khabarovsk cult. In years gone by there were pioneering festivals and demonstrations of workers today who successfully replaced may colorful procession to the day of the birthday of the city. Military parades are held here, starts here human Immortal River Regiment. And in ordinary days on Lenin square walk babushki-starushki and girls-pripevochki, fountains, lovers Kiss kids chasing pigeons, pacany dissect skating great and jump on the boards. It is in the warmer months. And in the winter a charm here too. Helicopter in December descends from the sky the beautiful FIR and it pleases people until February. Each year, be sure to arrive in Khabarovsk ice sculptors (sometimes even from very hot climates!) and cut cube of transparent chic artworks, which will melt only at the end of the winter. Residents then go from sculpture to sculpture, admire, take pictures, discuss. Beauty! And there was some year, when built snow sculptures, and mixing these figures gave the charm of the city centre and attracted guests and indigenous people from Khabarovsk to walk here, in spite of frost. But once in place the shumel surovo forest. Then came the bold and brave the Cossacks, put a military post.

Where to stay in Khabarovsk

A scenic multicultural center on the Amur River, Khabarovsk offers different types of accommodation, but the selection of hotels is somewhat limited. While you can find several centrally located luxury hotels, with full amenities and prices to match, for more budget-friendly options you will have to venture further away from the center. However, there are numerous hostels and bed and breakfasts close to the Amur shore and the train station, which can be a good choice for budget travelers. If you're looking to immerse yourself in natural surroundings, look for a good selection of pensions and smaller hotels just outside the city limits.
