Stroll through Muravyov Amursky Park, where people first settled in the city, and enjoy the views of the Amur River. The park stretches alongside the Amur River embankment and bears the name of a 19th-century governor of Eastern Siberia who played a major role in the expansion of the Russian Empire into the Amur River basin. See the 5 m (16 ft) high bronze statue of the governor on a tall block platform. The park also features a stage for the symphonic orchestra and a summerhouse for the wind band. From the port near the park, you can board a ship and cruise the river. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Khabarovsk holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Muravyov Amursky Park and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.
