Informative and surprisingly modern Exposition using videopanno and a minimum of boring artifacts. Moreover it was unexpected to meet such an approach in a classic historical Museum. What I write, applies to the second floor. On the first floor doing nothing (all except fans of archaeology and local history). The exposition of the same second floor succinctly and, at the same time, fully reveals the rich history of the Tatar people of peoples, ancestors to the year 2015. The guides are very familiar with the exposition and organically supplement its little-known living facts from the history of the Tatar people (primarily from the life of the rulers). Therefore, I advise you not to splurge on guide services (especially since they are inexpensive).

The Museum has the sense to go only with a guided tour. When we came to the Museum, we were told that you can only book a guided tour through two hours-i.e. be ready or in advance by phone to schedule a tour. You can pass the time in the Kremlin and numerous museums, mosques. We were with his wife, spent just for the two of us-very comfortable. To listen to interesting excursion, tour guide committed enough. I will try to briefly describe what I remember. On the territory of the modern Republic of Tatarstan at different times who lived not only in Tatar-Mongols lived mostly. Kazan itself was founded in the 11th century, the exact year is unknown, although several years ago in Kazan celebrated its Millennium. In the year 1552 Ivan the terrible conquered Kazan and everything crushed inside the Kremlin. The Tatars continued to live on the Russian already ground, but were virtually powerless. Catherine II during his brilliant reign among other reforms gave Tatar rights. Modern Kazan otstroilas actively over the past 10 years. Largest city is equal to Nizhniy Novgorod, also have subways. In Kazan traced a single idea in the development of the city, very beautiful and in excellent condition restored historic sites. Much attention is paid to the culture and preservation of values. Modern Tatar written language appeared less than 100 years ago, when our country participated in the great patriotic war. This was done to ensure that all citizens can communicate in the same language and understand each other. Prior to that, a century earlier in Tatarstan has started a programme to improve literacy and tried to go to Latin, all were taught for free. Prior to this, i.e. until the 19th century Tatarstan used ligature, even produced a newspaper. The museum displays such numbers of newspapers-look insanely beautiful.

It is located next to the Presidential Palace in the Kremlin Museum. Ticket Office is on the first floor, first floor and second floor (outside by stairs) on divided, are on display. Chronologically and explaining exhibits including the history of the Mongol invasion, excellent clarity.

Where to stay in Kazan

Home to numerous sights and known as the Third Capital of Russia, the city of Kazan is the prime destination in Tatarstan. The city boasts a selection of accommodations to match every taste and budget. While it may lack the extravagance of some of Moscow's high-end hotels, it still offers a good selection of both modern and historical luxury lodging. Most of the city's best-known hotels sit relatively close to the center, so you don't have to worry about long commutes. Venture just beyond the center to find several smaller boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts, and hostels, as well as numerous fully furnished apartments available for short-term rental.
